Dolphins can put Herm on chopping block with win.

I have always felt this guy is so overrated. He is a good motivator, but a bad x'o guy. Today at 1:10 pm, I will put on 660 the FAN here in NJ and listen to the sweet sounds of Jets fans weeping into their telephones, complaining about the very same coach who they said was the NFL'S very best just a week ago.

Think IM kidding here? IM not. If we can go into the Meadowlands this Sunday and sneak out a win? The hated Miami Dolphins, who were picked to be the NFL'S Worst would be 2-0 and the great accomplished New York Jets would fall to 0-2, in the leagues most competitve Division.

The Jets from what I heard looked out of sync and struggled learning the new O. Their O line wasn't what it used to be and was bullied by the KC D LINE? Now that is promising. If they thought KC'S D was tough, wait until they get a load of Sabans.

IM not going to go crazy over one game. I understand in the NFL things change from week to week, and the Jets better hope that happens for them this coming Sunday. Keep in Mind, Miami didn't really play well. We killed so many drives with turnovers and penalties and still that D was suffocating. If we can STUFF Denver, one of the NFL'S best running teams, we can Stuff the Jets also.

Couldn't ask for a better scenario. Instead of Miami coming into favored New York 0-1 facing a 1-0 Hot Jets team as evey Jets fan predicted, the Dolphins are the team who come in 1-0, one fire, nothing to lose, VS what everyone thought to be a SERIOUS Superbowl contender, already on their Heels and maybe playing for their season, IN the second week.

Think that's not true? Look at it this way. What if the PATS and BILLS win again and the Jets lose this game AT HOME vs the Miami Dolphins? Not only would the JETS have to CLIMB over a 2 game deficit vs a team that was written off by every so called expert in the NFL, they would be looking 2 games up at Buffalo, who has a DOMINATE D, one of the NFL'S best RB'S and a second year QB, who looks like last years Roethlishberger. Oh, I almost forgot, a 2 game climb over the Superbowl Champion New England Patriots.

Jets are already in a do or die game, in this the second week of the NFL. And Herm Edwards is a step closer to getting his walking papers. Who is their left to blame? The D coordinaor was fired a few years ago and the EVIL O coordinator was let go last year.

I couldn't agree more. You are dead nuts on about Herm. I have always said exactly what you are saying.

I would love nothing more than beating those guys and making the 0-2 to start.

Obviously I want a win, but I hope they don't fire Edwards. I think the guy's a weak head coach, and I'd just as soon they hang onto him. :)

hmmmmm..

Or they could hire Wanny after he is fired by Pitt... Jay and Wanny reunited!

The thing is we dont know who is gonna be starting. Hermy may wana start Jay. It'd be a dumb move in my opinion but we ARE talking about the Jets here. They have never been known to be intelligent

I'm confident in their organization to bring along the next bafoon for us to laugh at. Honestly, Herm Edwards no longer amuses me. Take him away.

Ah come on, I laugh my butt off every week with ol' Cue-ball.

I live in Jersey and I have watched the jets practice and have even atteneded one of their preseason games. I feel we should not take them lightly. They are a lot more potent then they showed themselves to be yesterday especially at the meadowlands. We should not get carried away. taht being said, I have enough confidence in Saban that we can get anotehr win if we can eliminate our pre snap penalties and the OLine can be a little more consistent in run blocking.

I dont see how Herm is ovverrated, Playoffs three out of four years with no talent to speak off. Seems like a good coach to me. Not the best but good.

Yea, I wouldn't sleep on the Jets or Herman (who I like as a head coach and he is a motivator!) because they lost to the Kansas City. They have a potent offense and a deffense that is capable. This could be the game that where most of you get what you wanted, a shot at J Feidler (although I cannot see them benching Chad, he IS their QB) but remember murphys law and the old saying be careful what you ask for. I would hate to see him come back to haunt us...

Lets hope they continue to be consistent in Pass blocking too. All of last year they were (they consistantly were very bad) so lets hope they can keep the Jets out of Gus's Face.

I agree, most of his coaching decisions can give you a laughing fit. However, I'm looking for more out of my Jet's coach. I want Mora like press conferences after a game like this. The Jet's haven't had a true tell-it-like-it-is we suck press conference since... well, probably since they lost the Tuna.
