is tannehill the last to be signed? i know he wont count very much against the cap tho

After TC cuts we should be in decent shape. I still think Tony McDaniel gets cut, or one of our QBs gets cut or traded.

I dont understand teams like the Jags...next year there is a salary cap floor (95%?) and they are going to be forced to overpay players in 2013 to meet that requirment.

The salary cap floor is more complicated than people realize. It involves averages over a period of time, as best I can tell from reading the CBA. The Jaguars will probably be forced to roll that cap space forward into next year and then spend it.

Yep, they can rolls some forward but they will have to spend it at some point. And the cap floor also deals with cash spent, not cap hit. So basically all the pro-rated bonuses that were given out in proir years that count against the cap this year will not count against the cap floor. Teams like the Jags better ante up with some big bonuses in 2013.

No way Miami releases/trades Garrard or Moore. They like the insurance. Philbin strikes me over and over as a guy who absolutely wants Tannehill to sit for the year, only playing in mop up duty to get actual game speed reps.

I do agree with you 100% that Tony McDaniel has got to be the next cap casualty though. 4.5 million for a backup DT?!

It's kind of sad...a lot of the teams who have a lot more cap space beat us last year. I really hope this team can turn it around, because it's been a pathetic few years (and IMO, this off-season is no different).

Yes but there are team who have less than us that the same applies. After reviewing the list those first 5-6 teams with the most cap space basicly have been loosing. The teams that are winning who have more cap space IMO are drafting better than their counterparts who are winning with less. If you are involved heavliy in FA and or resigning your senior players then cap space is going to be used. We seem to be using the majority of ours every year but not to where it is an issue like some team Washington comes to mind. Still would like the draft to work for us better. I thought that Washington was way over cap space did they win their appeal. The Cowboys were suppose to be in bad shape too I thought.

I fell ya bro... I was pumped in the beginning when we signed our coach but nothing big happened. We didnt make any big splashes in the offseason so now to me it looks just like the rest of the other piece of crap offseasons we've had. Im not so sold that were going to see any big differences in play this season but I am trying to stay optimistic.
