The Dolphins secondary is banged up — and it might not be any better Monday night against the Jets.
But Miami received some good news today with cornerback Jamar Taylor’s injury not serious enough to land him on the injured reserve list.
Taylor injured his shoulder against the Broncos and after the game it was initially believed to be dislocated, which likely would have ended Taylor’s season with just five games remaining.
But tests today revealed the shoulder is separated, not dislocated, according to the Miami Herald’s Barry Jackson.

Finally a break. Would like to see Taylor continue to be challenged.

Dang. Still a roster spot given to a horrible DB.

Won't matter. I don't expect to see the Jets pass too often against us. I expect them to shove Chris Ivory and Chris Johnson down our throats.

Jesus Christ dude....that sig picture...my word.

Even if he's not done for the year he's probably not playing for a while.

Yeah, but any word on when we get Finnegan back?

DAVIE – Dolphins cornerback Jamar Taylor’s is day-to-day with the left shoulder injury he sustained in Sunday’s 39-36 loss at Denver, according to a NFL source, which means it’s not believed to a long-term injury.

Taylor, who was making his second career start in place of Cortland Finnegan (ankle) sustained his injury in the third quarter and didn’t return to the game. But there’s a chance Taylor returns in time for Monday’s game at the New York Jets. If Taylor and Finnegan are sidelined for the Jets game the Dolphins could be in a bind.

Cornerback Lowell Rose replaced Taylor but was quickly replaced by safety rookie Walt Aikens, who was drafted as a cornerback.

Taylor, the second-round pick in 2013, has received good reviews for his play in both starts – Buffalo and Denver.

Thats cold man! Its not like he hasn't flashed some level of talent.

He's taken a roster spot for two years.

In those two years, what has he offered?

Cornerback is a place where it shows quickly if a man is a player or not -- whether he has skill and instincts for the game.

Good corners show quickly and soon DICTATE to offenses. Taylor is so challenged and so non-instinctual that he is often dictated to on the field.

The only reason he wasn't exposed even more terribly than he was was 1. Manning was picking on Wilson. and 2. Manning missed some wide open throws to Taylor's side.

Flashed? If by flash you mean making some decent plays around the LOS sure.

But down the field he is a nervous wreck and a brain-dead DB who gets used by good QBs.

So you're saying the Fins should move on from him?

But Miami received some mixed news today with cornerback Jamar Taylor’s injury not serious enough to land him on the injured reserve list, but he is expected to miss about three weeks with a dislocated shoulder.

With that timetable he’d be available only for the team’s final two home games against the Jets and Vikings.

Taylor injured his shoulder against the Broncos and after the game it was initially feared that the dislocation could cause him the rest of the season.

But tests today revealed that that he does not need surgery.

There has been some conflicting information as to the seriousness of Taylor’s injury. While he is technically day-to-day, the final verdict is that the team is expecting him to miss about three weeks, the Palm Beach Post has learned
