I think the Dolphins have a chance to be a a top 5 running stopping team, with one great pass rusher. Which will translate into a couple of wins. With our DE Merling and newly aquired 324 pound randy straks moving to DE and NT Jason Ferguson as our down line men we have one of the biggest d-lines in the league. I think JT and Joey are going to come throught with a pretty nice pass rush on the outside. And Akin Ayodele is a tackeling machine so the only question is the other inside LB Reggie Torbor and everything i read so far is saying this guy is going to be a nice player. So if this front 7 stays healthy do the dolphins have a chance to sneak into the playoffs.
 
I wish I could say yes,but I don't think I can at this point.We are still building and to make the playoffs this year seems like a big,big reach.I would absolutely LOVE to see it happening,don't get me wrong,but I just don't think as a team the Dolphins are quite there yet.
I really hope I am wrong.
 
If they can be in the upper 15 of the league in run defense I will be thrilled considering last year.

I think they could be a top 5 running team assuming everybody stays healthy.

I thought we would have a great run-stopping team last year, but boy was I wrong :lol:

On the upside,I think we are going to see vast improvement from the past few years if this 2008 rookie class is any indication.......because these guys look damn good so far.
If nothing else,I think it will be a lot of fun to watch what happens every sunday.Personally,all I ask is to beat the Jets or the Patriots just once this year.
 
I was talking to a buddy telling him that I see the possibility to win 9 games...tough end of the schedule.

Of course we do, it's 2008, we have the same chance as everybody else. Respect the code: The code of Dolphins whoop *** that is. John Beck is going to lead us to the promise land..Guaranteed.
 
I think our run defence will be a lot better this year and I think the special teams will be much better too...the o-line will have more talent but it takes longer for that unit to gel....I'm hoping that by the 4th or 5th week our o-line will be playing real good...but for it to be great it'll take longer than that tho I hope it happens sooner.
