Tackles alot?? Tackles late is more like it.

He's always late to the play, that's why he doesn't get INTs or big 3rd down stops. I think he's solid, but room for a lot of improvement.

The modern NFL Camera work accentuates Crowder's weakness. The tight camera shots of the ball hardly let you see what's happening ... and Crowder is seldom in the picture ... comes running into the picture late most the time. Watch for that & you'll see for yourself.

We did notice that our D-Line wasn't up to snuff & let Crowder get blocked alot. If the D-line stiffens this year, Tuna will want to see alot more out of Crowder or he'll be drafting ILB next year for sure. I suspect Tuna wanted an ILB this year, but there wasn't an ILB Tuna liked when our pick came up.

Well we can't afford any more of his 10 yards down field tackes that's for sure (course that's better than a TD) but he needs to make the plays in front of him.

This is very key to our D imo.

Is this the year Crowder reaches the next level and become an impact player? If so this D is top 5 without doubt and he along with Porter can be among the top reasons the D dictates what the opposing O is willing to do. I like our DL very much. But imagine an impact player at DT along with a new and improved Crowder, Ayodele, and Porter behind him.

He is just a step slow in reading the play. In fact there are times to read and react and other times when a LB needs to let his instincts take over. He is off a slight beat in both. Which is limiting his potential. He has all the physical gifts and ability. Like the article states - using the football IQ and not overthink. Create havoc and not just react (or over-react) all the time.

If he steps up a little we wont need a ILB early in the draft unless we have Mcclain or Spikes starring us in the face..so we can GO NT and other needs

We can still do better than Akin. I would love Spikes or McClain.

This has always been my biggest complaint with him. He is a solid tackler, but he rarely meets anyone in the hole. I am tired of watching make tackles from behind, he needs to get in there and meet the man in the hole!

I am hoping he is right and being in the same system and position for 2 years now can help make the difference for him.

I think our Dline and DB's will have more to do with the success of this defense then our ILB position ever will.

"I used to just run around."

At least he has the balls to finally admit it.

All I ever hear is that Crowder is young. He will get better. He is in a new defense etc. Well up till now those excuses might have been reasons to let him slide (not really) but now?Crowder just flat out has to step up and be an impact player. Sorry but I'm going to stay on this guys *** until he finally makes a game changing play or a big play in general. It has been a long time coming. If he gets out there this season and "just runs around" and whiffs in coverage I am going to be pissed and the "I told you so's" will be ringing loudly.
