SAN DIEGO–Much like the Dolphins, the Chargers are a middling team with some glaring deficiencies. But one thing they do well is throw the ball, and that puts Miami’s secondary under the microscope Sunday.
One player the Dolphins need to track: Travis Benjamin. Remember him? Not only did he star at the University of Miami prior to his NFL days, but he was one of the elite high school players in the area when he was at Glades Central.
Benjamin leads San Diego with 39 catches and is second in yardage at 514, plus he has three touchdowns. He’s 5-foot-10, 172 pounds with tremendous speed and he presents problems in the slot and out wide. Here’s a look at his matchup:

Benjamin is doubtful for the game and there's a good chance that SD will be shutting him down for the year soon.

You won't see him. Focus on Henry and Gates. They have the TEs to kill us

I feel like Miami's CB's are of the type that they are capable of having a bad game and making any WR a star.

Good thing our corners won't have to go against him. No one is fast enough to keep up with Benjamin.

Biggest match up issues. Gordon vs Run game.

Then TE and screens vs pass defense.

Miami has had big issues stopping the run and TEd have always seemed to kill our LBs and safeties in the past.

The problem will be the TE's...Gates and their new guy, who I think is just getting back from injury, are much bigger issues.

Benjamin is out I think, and both Henry and Gates are banged up. Their receiving corps is probably in worse shape than ours. At least we get Sims back and we've done OK with Gray and Jones as TE's. And our WR corps is the deepest part of our team, so our rotational guys are Caroo and our secret weapon Jakeem Grant, who I expect to see more involved in the offense today.

I hope Kenny Stills is back. Hes the only guy who we can go deep to apparently

Kind of off topic but the PBP has been excellent with their football analysis lately.

Don't sleep on Tyrell Williams. If you don't already know that he's a blur - absurd combo of speed and agility - you will after today. I've defended Maxwell, but if you let him man-up with Williams, he has almost no chance. He is slight, so Miami should look to jam him and give help over the top.
