I was just thinking today about the STUPID mistakes that Spielman and Wannstedt both made in the last two years, and how San Diego is affected by all the stupid moves...except one.

Check it out:

Used a first round pick on CB Jamar Fletcher, and he was traded to the Chargers for WR David Boston, who has done very little for Miami. That same first round pick could of been used to select QB Drew Brees (who so many fans on these very boards were screaming for us to do) and now both players are making plays in Charger land.

Traded a second round pick for AJ Feeley, who is now San Diego's third string QB. We get Cleo Lemon, and that may prove to be a good thing, or he could be off the squad by next Sept. Should we pick a rookie to develope, and keep Gus along with Sage, Cleo will be history.

Third round pick Lamar Gordon now plays for the Eagles, and we received nothing for him. Ironically A.J. Feeley was aquired from the Eagles...bleh.

A first, second, and third round picks down the tubes in two years. WOW.

I'm just glad that era has finally ended. AJ Feely I was FURIOUS about, pulling in someone from the bottom of the QB pile for a 2nd round??? The Eagles musta been on our X-mas list for that one to happen. What are the details on Lamar Gordon, sure he isn't much but something would be nice, or did we just straight up cut him?

That is why Wanny and Speilman is no longer with this team. We now are smarter and you won't be seeing us making dumb trades like that again with Saban and Mueller around.

Any word on Printers yet? I thought I heard he could be signed after Jan. 1st?

dont forget hudson houck... and they cut wes welker, and Seau plays for us

Those morons set this organization back 5 years at least!!

I'm so glad that we don't have to deal with Wanny any longer. He is the biggest waster of draft picks that i have ever seen. He's Pitt's problem now that he's moved on and there is seriously no doubt in my mind that Pitt is going no where fast. By the way Ryan Moats has played Gordon will be off the roster in a hurry. I think he's mostly the product of a good Rams offense.

Seau, Welker, and Houck were all good things for this team though, but you're right there is even more of a connection.

a quick note

There also could be more of a connection if we get Brees or Rivers but that wont happen. Im not saying taht would be a mistake, as that is what the thread title said.

Thats why I SWEAR if I ever see Wanny or Spielman I will punch them in the face :yell:

Yeah what's up with Printers. I hope other teams don't wanna sign him but it seems like a bunch have their eyes set on him. Anyway forget Wanny and Spielmen , i can look back and say i don't like what they did but it's all about right now. And right now our team is playing amazing football and in a few years will be super bowl contenders.

Dude trust me. You don't want to touch either of those guys.

Not even with a fist.

If you do you will be doomed to a life of poor decisions and bad judgement.

The curse will then be on your body and you can't wash i off.

The very reason I always refused to shake hands with Gary Stevens.

Then I would suck at my job too!

First of all, I agree with Fletcher/Brees scenario... Wanny was sold on JAY!!!

Second: Lamar didn't even really get a chance to play as he when out with an injury in the 2nd game I believe... However, with the O-Line we had last year, JAMES, LT or Alexander would not have evened fair much better...

Lastly, we gave A second to the Eagles for AJ and a 6th to have SD take him off our hands... CLEO was just a person to fill the slot so it wasn't so obvious that we were trying to get rid of AJ and his cap!!!

You're right, I forgot about the 6th we paid to dump Feeley. So AJ cost us a 2nd, and a 6th :shakeno: :yell:

They did bring in Ricky Williams... :sidelol: and we have yet to see how that is going to turn out. The Saban era has begun.
