Dolphins - Chargers Will Be Televised Locally In New York

Good news for New York area Dolphin fans. The Dolphins - Chargers game will be televised locally as the CBS single game. A rare opportunity that is occurring because the Rams @ Jets is the early game on Fox and the Giants play Monday night.
 
I didnt realize the Rams were playing the Jets on Monday night, that works out GREAT for us.

Short week and they have to travel back to LA. I like it.

The Giants are hosting the Bengals on Monday night. The Rams play at the Jets Sunday at 1:00. Because the road team is an NFC team, Fox broadcasts the game. This allows the Dolphins - Chargers as a CBS late game as NFL rules prohibit ANY game to be televised opposite a Jets or Giants HOME game. If the Dolphins played at 1:00, as they usually do, the game would not be televised as the Jets are playing at home.

Fyi, Fox gets the double-header this week, so Dolphins - Chargers will be televised opposite Cowboys - Steelers.
 
Damn, my ADD is acting up, lol. Dunno how I read that the Jets and Rams were a Monday night game.

Still a good thing for us, we will already be out west while our opponent needs to travel:)
 
Looks like it's going to be shown locally in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area as well.

That makes sense as the Eagles host the Falcons at 1:00 on Fox as well. I assume that the same NFL rule applies - that CBS cannot broadcast a 1:00 game as the Eagles are playing at home.

Lol... Rams @ Jets would be a crappy Thursday Night game as well as a crappy Monday Night game.

Yeah must be the reason why. Also the Dolphins @ Chargers being the only late CBS game available.

Excellent point. The Broncos play an early game at New Orleans while the Raiders have a bye; otherwise, a game involving either of those two teams would take precedence over Dolphins - Chargers.
