Charles Clay – Much of the offseason chatter from Dolphins fans was about how Clay would take another leap this season and be one of the NFL’s best tight ends. That hasn’t happened, and it’s not even close. Clay has no touchdowns and hasn’t had more than 35 yards receiving in four games so far. In fact his 27.8 yards per game puts him at 115th in the NFL. Translation: Clay’s nowhere close to being an elite pass catcher.

He has been playing with a knee injury and getting very few opportunities. The bye has come at the right time for Charles to get fully healthy. Don't worry about Charles Clay suddenly becoming a dud, his will contribute.
 
Good, we might actually be able to afford him then.

I'm disappointed so far but he's still healing and should come back stronger after the break.

Exactly. Seems like someone is just a little miffed they drafted him for their fantasy team.
 
I don't know. There have been some highlight reel Clay plays but they are too far and few inbetween for my liking. He's just not consistent enough. He's too short, he doesn't need to be Sims tall, but he's just not tall enough. He'll be fine for what he is but can you imagine if we had a real seam buster?
 
Most disappointing TE is all time? If you guessed Egnew you're wrong- Hernandez!

Clay will be fine. Let a dude heal.
 
He has battled a knee. He will make something happen before the year is out.
 
I'm not worried. Sims has done well, as has our run game. When opposing Ds realize our WRs will kill them, Clay will start getting his plays again.
