Hope that is true but the Twitter report was from 7 hours ago and I've seen nothing since then.

..from anyone else either so I agree with you.. I mean I guess we can suppose they maybe said will "sleep on it tonight" because they were getting close to an extension for one or both but...

While it may pan out to be true and I doubt a Vernon tag and Wake restructure coincide, I would say this tweet is unreliable. Phinsphocus reports off the same sources we rely on here at Finheaven only we get them first.

The tweet has a typo in it, should read "aren't close".

does anyone here watch the games or realize how bad the defense was without Suh and Jones. Miami's defense was the 2nd or 3rd worse last year and gave up on many plays especially in the 2nd half. Vernon's sacks came when the outcome was determined and Wake disappeared early in the year well before the injury. These 2 are over rated and given passes based on previous performance. I just don't get it why 99 percent here are so desperate for prior glory days and get hard ons for coaches/GM's that will no longer be in the league soon or given jobs because of nepotism or good old boys network ala Turner, duffner, special team coaches, wannsteadt, Campbell, qb coaches, etc. Just look at wannsteadt and how bad he was in Pittsburgh and Duffner in Maryland. Many are given jobs due to nepotism, interviews ala qb coach and college scouting jobs . Ross does this since he did this type of reasoning in the real estate business which doesn't coordiante to football. .... Don't know anything about Gase except for he had an excellent 3rd interview with or without power points and beat out Campbell and red lobster since he had a hand with Papa johns poster boy and tim tebow who had the worse qb rating playoff qb, and cutler who had a worse rating then Matt Moore. I agree with everyone here who stats that we can win with a qb that does not turn the ball over and can manage the ball ala griese, payton this past year, or any other qb who had great defenses.... But as we saw this past year when the offense turns the ball over or can't maintain drives, the defense can't stay on the field forever in particular when your linebackers and majority of secondary are second teamers anywhere else, then game over.
