Miami Dolphins' coaches asked football player Richie Incognito, who was the offensive line's undisputed leader, to toughen up teammate Jonathan Martin after he missed a voluntary workout last spring, at least two sources told the Sun Sentinel.

The sources told the paper they believe that Incognito, who is accused of using racially incendiary language and bullying tactics against Martin, may have taken those orders too far.
It's not clear whether those marching orders will now become part of a pending investigation by the National Football League into the Dolphins' locker room culture, and the alleged bullying that took place between Incognito and Martin.

WTF is going on, an NFL FOOTBALL being verbally abused because he missed practice creates this whole mess????

Martin will never play in the NFL again.

you could watch him play as a rookie and tellhe needed toughening up...this whole things crazy martins a mental midget who can't handle being told he's not the man...

lose this sorry scrub as soon as possible...enough is enough...it's football not ballet you wuss

if this is true the entire coaching staff should be canned sooner than later.

What coaches? What does "toughen up" mean? Why would Incog be asked to toughen Martin up b/c he missed voluntary workouts?

if this is true the entire coaching staff should be canned sooner than later.

lol why?

Toughen up in no way implies leave threatening and racist comments on his voicemail!

IMO a non-story. Anyone with half a brain understood Martin needed to toughen up. It wasn't a trade secret.

I agree with you - but none of that will matter when this hits the court room, which it will for some sort of settlement. Toughening up is not viewed well in the workplace by the courts.

Wow remember when Saban made a player cry during practice and said player eventually quit the team... yeah I don't remember any **** storm that time...
