NFL draft: 2021 scouting combine date, location are reportedly in doubt
A lot of signs point to the 2021 NFL combine moving — or perhaps being reimagined in a different form.
the combine is in limbo for sure, with decision coming from head office this week apparently. this only made news in the last day or so.

it's really more about the teaching and getting a first-hand grip on the players than the game itself IMO

Oh, I agree and think it’s great for the staff to get a better look at some of these guys. It was just something that popped up when I heard the news.

I have to say though, If they allow the senior bowl to happen, it makes zero sense to the disallow the combine.
The combine can be done without media, or the general public.
It has only recently become the dog and pony show hoopla that we have now.
I would be perfectly fine with just the resulting data points, and video, without the endless hours of the talking head pontificating, or backstory.
