From ESPN Insider NFL Rumor Central:

Dolphins considering Rogers?
<Sep. 11> Pro Football Weekly is hearing that Miami could have interest in Rogers, who would fit the low-cost, high-risk profile of other Dolphins acquisitions during Nick Saban's tenure. Rogers was released by the Lions on Sept. 2 after three seasons of injuries and inconsistency. Saban is familiar with the second overall pick of the 2003 draft, having recruited him to play at Michigan State.

i would like to see the dolphins get him and have him become the player he is capable of

We read something similair last week. If we're interested in him, why havent we brought him in for a workout yet?

Yeah its odd that there has been no workout. And PFW aint the most reliable source. Well known to be a source of unfounded rumors although they do make their occasional hits.

My first instinct is no to Rogers. He got cut because he not only did not live up to expectations but was known to be a lazy, malcontent. We don't need that.

Yeah Joey H. had to move from Motown and so far so good. Maybe its the water in Detroit or the Lions organization is completely poisoned. So, if you suscribe that he has great talent and just needs a change of scenery well so be it. But, from what I saw of him so far in his career not much at all has been impressive. One of those cases where you scratch your head and ask 'now how high in the first round they draft this guy?". At least Joey showed some ability through the adversity up there. Eventually not all the blame is with a poor organization itself; players like Rogers must take accountability of their own failures regardless of what's going on around them.

i said earlier i wouldnt mind it, but really thinking about maybe not so much

as for harrington i think of him the same i think of tim couch, it was the system they were drafted in, i think joey has all the tools but in detroit he was in a floundering system with a ****ty owner, piss poor drafting and really no oline

couch was the same way he had the tools showed the promise but he was drafted into a crappy team that was going to be crappy for a long time

if brady or peyton were drafted by the lions or browns they might have been bad also

This is a guy who Detroit players say used to show up intoxicated to practice everyday.. I don't want a guy who is a drunk .. He seems to have cashed in in the NFL and doesnt care anymore.. dont want him, dont need him.

ESPN also stated he had an absolutely horrible workout for the Bucs last week

Let him go to the Jets. LOL

Yeah, they're lining up, all right. :sidelol:

No reason for your snide reaction. I never said teams were "lining up" to sign Rogers. All I meant was another team will sign him if we just sit and wait around. He won't be unemployed forever!!!! :shakeno:

Teams were waiting till week 1 was over so they did not have to pay the contracts the players had already signed. Rogers will be signed to someone this week as well as Beasley.
