Dolphins | Culpepper to block any trade
Fri, 8 Jun 2007 10:35:56 -0700
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins QB Daunte Culpepper will refuse to restructure his contract, which would essentially block the team from trading him. Culpepper is set to earn $5.5 million in base salary in 2007. "They're going to do what's best for them. Obviously, I'm going to do in my opinion what's best for me," Culpepper said. "I'm going to work out every day I'm here and continue to get myself healthier and physically better the best way I can." Culpepper has been barred from practice with the exception of one-on-one drills.

We gave a second round pick for this scum and he didnt do anything for us, and now we try to move him and he decides he will block any trade.
I dont know why so many of you root for this guy, and Minnesota fans were not wrong when they said we wold regret trading for Daunte and he was snob and poor team player. Can not wait to we cut this sucker. I apologize to all the fans from Minny that I said they were wrong

It is a dumb move for him to block a trade. If he or we find a team that is willing to trade for him he should jump on it, because that would mean he can move on to another team now. He is saying he will block any trade by not restructuring his contract, that would only prolong the process and keep him on our roster. He would only be hurting himself.

What a piece of crap...We give up a second rounder for a guy who doesn't produce at all for this..and he just wants to screw us even more.

Doing this pretty much ensures that he gets released. 5.5 million is alot for a guy who you dont want on your team. Atleast now he can pick where he wants to go.

You can argue that the dolphins screwed him by only giving him 4 games. Then they go out draft a qb in the second round and trade for a qb. Why would he give anything to the dolphins?

If you were him, wouldnt you rather pick your next employer, rather than your old boss sending you somewhere you dont want to go?

He knows we won't keep him that long and in the end we will egt nothing if we do. I would not restructure if I was him either thus he could choose to play for whoever wants him at whatever price they agree to. I feel he is in a very differant situation than Trent Green because they at least said he could compete for the job. We basically sight unseen have said we are going with green now get lost. We are going to blink on this unless someteam that wants to trade for him agrees to give him a very nice restructure. daunte knows that he can hold out longer than we can, because we will eventually want to clear his cap number, plus don't want to risk getting him hurt.

Cause everything negative that was said about him before he got here, was true. Daunte is being selfish and is just doing this out of anger towards the team. Once again Minny fans were right and we fell for Daunte's bull****.

Explain how?

I'd love to hear this.

Because he has worked his *** off to try and play for the Miami Dolphins and we have treated him like absolute crap. All the guy wants to do is compete and we won't even give him that chance.

I hope Daunte does extremely well and makes everyone here look like an idiot wherever he goes.

Done Daunte wrong??!!

Excuse me.. HE wanted to play last year.. He forced himself on the field last year... Not Saban... he should stop LYING about last years injury. All last offseason he was blabbing how close he was and how eager he was to get back on the field...

All the dolphins did was pay him damn well to rehab.

The dolphins owe him NOTHING!
