I would have expected us to keep him. At worst, we need a backup to whichever C we get.
Well some were wondering if he would be at least kept around temporarily at least since he was seen as a leader in locker room and not expensive.
Maybe brought to camp based on how FA and draft went- nope.

Deiter Plays C. Sure they got the backup figured. Nice though that they are focusing on Starters and not backups like previous Organization. JMO

This “he was serviceable enough” talk s the difference between previous regimes and this one. He wasn’t very good and that’s just the black and white of it. W/ plenty of holes to fill, it would have been easy for someone In charge to pick up the option and “plug a hole” but I’m very glad they didn’t.

Surprised they cut him so soon. I figured they'd wait on replacement before releasing him. With the Kilgore and Jones cuts Miami is close to $100M in cap space.
