Our defensive guys should be watching the Redskins tonight. They are hitting with force and intensity. I sure wish our damn defense could hit like they are.

Gase inherited a soft team. I think strides were made in the offseason to get more physical, we just haven't seen much to get excited about yet. The team seems really tired, which certainly makes sense considering the travel so far.

Hard to have faith that Tannenbaum will find us any PHYSICAL players.

I guess we'll find out. I think Timmons, McMillan and McDonald fit that physical mold.

My biggest disappointment so far is that opposing defenses know all they have to do is stop Ajayi and the Dolphins are done. Miami needs physical guards to really dictate the running game.

I don't agree. Kiko Alonso hits like a pillow. Tankersley biggest knock was his aversion to hitting. Charles Harris' biggest knock was his inability to play the run (he has two tackles in 3 games, one of those an assist). I don't see how they've taken any steps to be more physical. They're still trying to be a pass rush first team...which you need a lead to be able to do but when you're offense averages 8.3 ppg that's not going to happen.

It's been awhile since I've heard pads cracking loudly after numerous hits. The Redskins are just laying the wood on Chiefs ball carriers tonight. Our defenders look like a bunch if wussies compared to the Redskins defenders.

Kiko is total finesse. He doesn't hit at all.

I'd like to see the defense protect, I don't know 17-20 points then I'll worry about pads cracking.

Chiefs aren't losing more than 3 games this year. Best coached team in football when Andy Reid eats his Wheaties.

Jim Tomsula was sitting at home for a whole year ... he's better than any assistant on Gase's entire staff.

The Redskins are a team on the rise. I know they lost, but they lost to what might be the best team in the NFL. There is still something to be said for being a physical defense. You may not win every game on shear physicality alone, but you can really take the wind out of the sails of finesse offenses, just ask Kurt Warner about the Patriots super bowl. The Dolphins have had hints of toughness from individual players over the years, but they haven’t been tough as a team since the glory days.
