You guys suffered a bunch of injuries last season. What do you expect from a healthy team minus Surtain this yr?

it's not just minus Surtain.... the D has been revamped in a major way.

Madison is the only reutrning player from our secondary... Spragan, Moore and Crowder are competing for Greenwood's old job. There will be huge changes along the front.

I expect that this D is going to be very good eventually, there might be some teething problems, but they'll get there in the end.

I see an atacking D with so many different looks and blitzes coming from so many different directions that you will never know what is coming next,or where it's coming from.
I see a D with lots of attitude and it's all bad, Saban's first two picks on D. Roth and Crowder both known to be the kind of guys to follow you home after a game and beat youre a$$ in front of youre wife and kids.

I can't wait It's going to be a lot of fun.

its going to be real important that the front 7 get the job done-get in the QB's face all the time, no let up, no lapses of concentration--just professionally efficient

omg, I spewed cooffee !!!

The D should be interesting. I hope that the players can become adept to the new scheme. Especially Jason Taylor. I think overall it is going to be fun to be a Dolphin fan this year. :D

.

as opposed to your tight end who...

I hope Crowder wins that job I think he's better then those two so he should, a LB crop with Seau, Thomas, and Crowder starting would be awesome

I may be wrong, but something tells me Thomas is going to lose the MLB spot to Crowder. Then Spragan will take the other OLB spot. Just my gut feeling. Thomas is starting to slow a bit (not much, but just enough)

slow he had 145 tackles and he only played 13 games he only needed 12 more tackles to get a personal record. we all know he can get 12 tackles in a span of 3 games. anyway i think spragan will start over moore and crowder. if roth can have a good pre-season i think he will play in taylors sport in the 3-4 schemes if taylor get up to play linebacker. daniels will be a starting cb alongside madison. and i predict the dolphins will come to terms with schulters.just my opinion

my prediction:
Z. Thomas will get his 140+ tackles. Seau will get 80+.

D-Line will get presure with J. Taylor, getting 14 sacks.
while the rest of the line will find it hard to get sacks or tackles.

the secondary will be eploited this season A LOT more than in previous years.
T. Jones is a great tackler, but couldnt cover a grandmother.
Tillman.... lets just say hes a weakness.
Madison is good, but will he be able to shut down the #1 WRs?
the other CB is average. i dont care what team he used to play for. hes average. and he will get alot of passes his way.

overall ~19th overall. but compared to previous years (top 5 Defenses) they will look much worse than that. the fin fans will be able to tell the diffrence.

Jason Taylors new roll is what I am looking forward to the most, it should be exciting.

without addressing how the new system may or may not effect the players on this defensive squad, i think that we are still thin on our Ends and Corners but our run defense , i think, will be majorly improved. the added depth in the middle of our line may help individuals on each end of our D-Line but i can see us getting burned on the long-ball, still. again, defensive program could lessen our vulnerability on the corners or eliminate it altogether. as far as the lack of depth in those defensive areas, how our back-up guys perform will also determine how well we do there.
