Dolphins Defesne #2 overall in the NFL

I was browsing ESPN and decided to check out the stats to see where the fins rank and to my surprise they are #2 overall. I believe they are #4 in pass and #9 at rushing D.

Not too bad for Sabans second season and what makes this even better is that our secondary is still not playing at a high level. Secondary is getting alot better and if they keep this up I have a feeling this D next season might be even better. I just hope Saban can get more LB's to fit his system.

Yeah exactly. Its weird because you know the defense hasnt played to its fullest potential. Its actually scarry in a good way.


Now all we need is to get this offense in check and we might have a good ball club...
 
This is good news. I hope we can keep our great core together.
 
why do people think our secondary is not playing at a high level? people act like if ever a completion is allowed that our secondary sucks... if thats the case there is not a secondary in the league that is playing at a high level...

our secondary is fine, and they were all new together basically... next year they will be even improved, i see no need to tweek our secondary at all this offseason

You have a valid point and our secondary is playing great regardless of the pressure the line is putting on the QB, although I wouldnt be opposed to bringing in a shutdown corner or great safety like a Clements or Hamlin

The really impressive stat is that they are 5th in TD's allowed. That's where the rubber meets the road (so to speak)
 
be even better next year with Adaulius Thomas and some better depth

Huh? The pass D is #4 and the secondary is not playing at a high level? I'm not sure if you watched the Pats game but did you notice when did have time to throw, he had a difficult time finding open receivers?
The only game since the addition of Bell into the starting lineup where the pass D was not up to par was the Jags game.
 
I think if you take away the 1st 4 weeks as we were in shambles and trying to figure the new system, we are Ranked #1!!!
 
What I love is that we're not some flash in the pan D that was ranked # 2 in like week 3 and then blew it. We're #2 with 13 games under our belts. That's something!

They are playing well but we all know that they arent playing up to their fullest potential. Dont get me wrong im not down at all on the defense. I just have that feeling that they will take it another notch next year. These guys are going to get even better....
