I have said in the past that they should take a chance on him if they could get him in the 7th round or as an undrafted free agent. Though I now wouldn't be opposed to them using a 6th round pick, not sure why I feel different. As competition for the 3rd QB spot, he might be worth a late round pick.

if it was a late pick i wouldnt mind as much. but this guy has a crap load of work to do. i see the bills or raiders giving a 3rd or 4th to grab him in the sup

For a 6th or a 7th the potential upside more than justifies the risk. However, I suspect he'll go as a 3-4th rounder and hope it's not to us. As a matter of fact, I'd be furious if we pick him up in the 1st 4rounds after passing on Ryan Mallett.

nothing higher than a 6th. nothing. i am curious and wouldnt kill the move if they do indeed draft him. but i dont have ANY expectations of anything resembling anything close to a marginal NFL quarterback.

better qb than pat white.
but not even close to say, a VY. (YES BRING ON VY. YES. I SAID IT. )

It's official. I hate the Wildcat. It's the only reason **** like this even comes up.

Just proves the point that the current regime still, does not know how to evaluate QB's. This story reminds me of the clowns we have running this team.

I might give a 4th if he came in for a work out and blew them away but if you can get a kid like him in the 5th that would be amazing

the kid is a freak of an athlete

you could work him at the 3rd spot so he can develop for a year or two and if he dont work out turn him to a wr/te

lets be honest name the last 5th rounder that has contributed at a high level

Pryor has a stupid amount of talent very much worth a 4th/5th

Worth a shot as long it's not a top draft pick (rounds 1-3). Anything 4th rd or lower is all a crapshoot anyways so why not take a chance on a HUGE position of need. I read he is working with former QB coach and Bengals player Ken Anderson and Terell said he learned more from him in one month than in 3 years combined at OSU. If we end up spending a 4th and he sux it's no big deal. If we end up passing him up and he turns into a quality NFL starting QB it will not be forgotten or forgiven.

That guy is light years from being an NFL QB if ever, never mind the fact he comes with baggage. Can't we stop this BS and dedicate ourselves in finding a real QB. The topic makes my stomach turn.

6-7 round picks by this regime
2008- Parmele, Thomas, Hilliard, Dotson
2009- Gardner, Folsom
2010- McCoy, Spitler
2011- Clay, Kearse, Wilson
The last class has yet to have a chance to prove themselves. However what from our history of late round picks from the first 3 years would make you so opposed to taking a risk on a talent like Terrelle Pryor for the same price?

I fail to see the logic that because we've spent $10 on ten separate pieces of relative dog **** that we should spend our next dollar on cat ****. **** is still ****.

The goal should be to use our late round draft picks better (though to be fair, late round picks are late round picks for a reason). A good way to start this process would be to not waste a pick on the likes of Terrelle Pryor.
