The new rumor the phins are putting out through their assistants is that they are locked in at RT for the 1st round. Sources state that the board is like this.

RT
Robinson
Matthews
Lewan
Kouandjio
Moses

The rumor states that the phins will not draft defense is the first 4 rounds, and will look at BPA of WR, RB, OG in the second and third round. The phins will draft a QB in the 4th or 5th round depending on what is available. The later parts of the draft will be LB, CB, S with a focus on special teams standouts.

They are stating that the goal of the draft is this.

Get a starting RT, OG
Get a short yardage RB
Find a solid #2 receiver
Find a backup QB
Get special teams help

This is kind of matches the bits and pieces of info we have heard all offseason.

The rumor also states that Moses is on the do not draft list due to his coaches reporting a poor attitude and work ethic.

I know a lot of fans are going to hate this draft if it plays out like this.

I really like this approach just have to wait and see.

Wait, according to this rumor Moses is on the draft board AND the do not draft list?

Either that is a typo or it is Jeff Ireland logic.

Wasnt it just yesterday or Friday there was a source saying the only 5 guys they see as 1st rndrs on OL were Robinson-Matthews-Lewan-Martin-James?

Who is reporting this rumor?

side note, believe nothing

WoW Zach Martin is not on the List. Smokescreen for martin
We all know draft will bring OT and WR in this draft. However defense also needs a LB and a S.
Short yardage big back is a need.

I hope they take BPA based on real first round grades. I dont see Moses as a fit. Kouandijo in a trade down scenario yes. Otherwise take BPA at 19 from OT, WR, LB, S or CB.

As unexciting as that sounds, I would be fine with it for this draft. Filling gaping holes. I just don't believe it. Why would a team give away their plan this close to the draft? Doesn't make much sense.

I can't help but to think all this O-line talk is really intended to help someone at another position shake loose.

This is gonna be the longest week and a half ever!! You can't believe anything you read yet you can't help yourself.

Got to love all these changing "rumors"' of what the Dolphins will do and who they like. It will change many more times leading up to the actual draft day. Believe nothing you hear is about right.:brewskis:

Very little real info is leaked this time of year. Lots of smokescreens.

Moses has no attitude problem ... I'm confident every NFL front office knows that.

Zack Martin is definitely on Miami's board for #19 overall, but probably after Matthews, Robinson and our ideal fit Lewan. Also likely ZM is ahead of any other OL with the possible exception of Kouandijo if they grade him as medically solid.

We will definitely draft a DB and likely also a DL and WR.

POSITIVE: The fact that the Front office can even envision a draft like that means that they GET IT on a far greater level than Ireland ever dreamed.

IMO, your hand is FORCED to consider drafting like that because the hand you were dealt at OL, RB and WRs 2-5 is simply chicken crap or mediocre at best (sorry, BH).

In today's league, it just won't cut it. You end up getting manhandled by teams like the Bills.

Without making such changes you're looking at 3rd place in the AFC EAST at best.

Hickey gets it.

Protect the QB. Run the football. And have a WR corps that actually pressures the D across the board and in the red zone.

Ireland = clueless on all fronts.

Somebody on a fan forum posted it . He's just speculating about info from Abramson's and Jackson's articles.

I don't think it is being leaked, Hickey is telling his staff its OK to let this info out. The beat reporters are also looking into who the phins are bringing in for private workouts. Hickey seems to be focused on OL, RB, WR, and QB. In fact most of the private workouts have involved those positions.

Here are some links, I get all of my stuff from the Dolphins beat reporters. As well as tons of twitter feeds from them, which is way too much to post.

Well it is going take a couple of years to extricate Ireland-think from the processes of the scouting department.

Tyson Clabo is a far better option at right tackle than Cyrus Kouandjio...
