Even though some of us don't really like the service - still to say he had under-performed his contract might not be accurate.

Early in the 2015 season, there was a strong narrative going around Miami that Ndamukong Suh was at the center of the Dolphins’ defensive struggles, and he was woefully underperforming in relation to his immense contract. In reality, Suh earned the highest grade of his career (91.2), topping 90.0 for the first time while posting the highest pass-rush and run-defense grades of his NFL tenure. He also recorded the second-highest percentage of pressures per pass-rushing snap he has managed in any single season.

I found this interesting for all those who were mad we didn't take Perryman instead of Jordan Phillips.

16. Chargers LB Denzel Perryman had the highest run-stop percentage among all inside linebackers in 2015, at 18.3 percent.

Once given a bigger role on the defense, Perryman was excellent against the run in 2015 and earned the highest PFF run-defense grade at his position in the second half of the season. On 169 run snaps, he recorded 31 defensive stops. The second-year player could quickly become one of the best run-stopping linebackers in the NFL if he can duplicate his late-season form for an entire year.

Saw that also. Jackson did as well.

Dolphins passed on Perryman, traded down for Jordan Phillips in 2015. Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

Suh needs some help. Jordan Phillips must improve his play quickly. While Warmsley has looked good in the preseason he is undersized for a DT. Other than Suh I don't have much confidence in any other DT on the team. While LB and CB are huge question marks for the defense, the DT spot should be a concern as well.

They all are....

PFF stats, not shabby.

PFF individual grades, :puke:

I think they can be used for part of the equation when looking at an individuals performance, granted, those grading don't know the responsibility the player has or a particular play, but you can get a general idea of a players performance. Rarely do you see anything in their evaluations that is significantly off what can be observed. I would say it is better then many writers who simply spout "I felt he played a great game today"...

And the fact that PFF grades are now being posted under a players profile for televised games is ****ing atrocious. What a sham and promotion by Chris Collinsworthless.

Suh's talent or performance has never been an issue for me. And even still with his highest grades last year, I still don't like his contract. But, nothing we can do now.

On Perryman, run D was never the question for him. His physical tools/ability to defend the pass was always the issue. Also, SD plays a 3-4 - better suited for a physically limited LB.

Some stats are open to debate. Some stats are on the money. Interestingly, some writers quote PFF when it agrees with their opinion and question the validity when they don't. Personally, I never saw them vary much from reality. Doesn't matter now. PFF is gone for normal fans.

Why? If it is such a sham, so are all stats, but televised NFL is for entertainment purpose, stats are part of that equation. Its not like they are just making thing up, you may or may not agree, but someone is putting in the effort and watching the games multiple times. Hell it is a lot better then cutting and pasting some sites info explaining an offense and defense to pretend you know what you are talking about.
