wow-best quality I have seen for this game! I was lucky enough to be at that game. What an electric night at the Orange Bowl :brewskis:

What an amazing atmosphere that game had....with the 72' Dolphins on the sideline for support.

I almost think we all knew it would be up to Marino & company to take down that juggernaut.

The wierd part was after that epic takedown on Monday night....the Dolphins fumbled away the AFC championship game, and a rematch with those Bears...... to an inferior Patriots team..... in the last game played at the Orange Bowl.

Not only did we beat them, we gave the league a blueprint how to defeat that defense. It's no coincidence that the '85 Bears were dominant, but after being beaten by the Dolphins the league studied that tape and figured out how we beat them. The '86 Bears defense was good but not nearly as dominant.

Had the Dolphins gotten over the hump and beaten a very beatable New England team, we would have beaten the Bears again in the Super Bowl and Dan Marino would have a Super Bowl Ring and be recognized as what he is, the greatest QB of all time.

Jim McMahon is an ugly mother ****er.

Loved the noise coming from that crown though. What an atmosphere!

Such a contrast to today's broadcast. No constant score and clock, no scrolling league-wide scores and statistics. Hardly any stoppages for injuries, penalties and obviously no reviews. It was a much cleaner broadcast in that regard. This game is probably my favorite of all-time and it was great to know that it still remains the most watched MNF game of all-time. Man, we were spoiled then.

Sounds about right.

Look at those young feet Marino backpedaled with back then. He looked like James Brown!
