The difference between three games back and one game away in the AFC East division standings hangs on the outcome of Sunday afternoon's match-up at Gillette Stadium. The infamous unleashing of the Wildcat occurred last time Miami rolled into Foxborough, Massachusetts, as the Dolphins dominated their division foes. The same cannot be expected this time around as New England will prepare for Miami's dynamic offense with extra emphasis.

The Patriots are favored to win by an average of 10 1/2 points, but that should not be a cause for concern for the Dolphins. The Pats have only been able to muster a 10-8 record against the Dolphins since Bill Belichick took the helm as head coach in 2000. So, don't plan on predicting the outcome of this game, when these two teams face off the results can be surprising.

If we win...

NE 5-3
MIA 4-4
NYJ 4-4

Then next week, we will beat the Buccs, Jets will beat the Jags, and I think the Pats lose to Indy.
MIA 5-4
NE 5-4
NYJ 5-4

Our schedule gets easy, while NE has to NY at home, Saints in NO, and the Fins in Miami.

This is not a must win, but this would be a HUGE win.

Good observation/prediction. We are in great condition if those things happen. We can only hope that the Colts have the defense and firepower to win that game, after all they were challenged last week by San Francisco.

Pats may beat Indy as they have beaten only 1 good team (ARZ). I would take the Colts because it's in Indy against their rivals (NE).

It would be fitting to see NE knock off Indy and NO to preserve our perfect season. They can lose all the rest.

Now that you think of it, if you look at the Patriots' schedule and results so far it is not very impressive.
  • Week 1: NE 25 - BUF 24 (W)
  • Week 2: NE 9 - NYJ 16 (L)
  • Week 3: NE 26 - ATL 10 (W)
  • Week 4: NE 27 - BAL 21 (W)
  • Week 5: NE 17 - DEN 20 (L)
  • Week 6: NE 59 - TEN 0 (W)
  • Week 7: NE 35 - TB 7 (W)

The most notable win there is against Baltimore, but other than that it's nothing out of this world. Yes, they still are 5-2 and have two more win than the Dolphins do, but they have not played the Colts, Chargers or Saints. I would like to see how New England fares down the stretch as they begin to face tougher opponents.

Trust me, you want NE losing to INDY and NO. If they don't, you can probably kiss the division goodbye, even if we beat the Pats twice.

I want the perfect season to be preserved, but I'd still rather see us win the division NOW and get into the playoffs.

I'd rather they lose both, because if they beat those two then who will stop New England? Let the Saints beat them, they look like the Patriots of 2007, when they were perfect until the Super Bowl (it's only one loss right?).

colts are losing players left and right. they will start losing. peyton can only carry them so far. at this point we really need the colts to keep winning though. we are going to need a lot of help the rest of the way. if the colts can beat teams we need to lose its going to be very beneficial. im rooting for broncs and colts to keep winning

True, but the colts secondary is decimated, especially with Sanders out for the season. I like the Pats chances.

Old fashion shootout. Manning can only take his team so far. NE is the more complete team, but Indy is always dangerous.

Just give them 15 minutes and they'll find a way to win. We know this for a fact :boohoo:
