bad news, NASN has once again showed how much it blows. they will not be showing the American bowl, HOF game or any other pre-season game. this means they show a total of 0 live games a year. this has really p!ssed me off, in fact, i'm calling off my subscription, right now...

its false advertising, they claim to have NFL when now all they show is  baseball:sleep: and NASCAR :shakeno: . and to all the people over the US: you can see how deprived of football we are. luckily, the regular season games are shown on sky sports (free) and channel 5 (also free).

Sky sports - Free? Maybe its free as your father is paying the bill!

I subscribe to NASN to watch all the college games - I have it from September to january. I recommend that you start watching the college games as the games are alot more exciting and you get to see all the future stars - I know plenty about Ronnie Brown, Cedric Benson, Channing Crowder and Matt Roth as I watch all the college games + the atmosphere at the games is far better than the NFL. College football rules............!

I was gonna say !

I got Sky Sports and I can categorically state that it is not free !

If he's gettin it for free Im doing something wrong !

Unfortunately college football is about the only thing worth having NASN for :shakeno:

Do any of you guys subscribe to Pontel? If so what is the standard of the discs and are the games shown complete?

IF so I might give it a go this year as I don't expect Sky Sports to be showing the Dolphins given Sky's track record.

If I subscribe I can do copies for those who need them (as long as they are not copy right protected.)

Anyone who gets a copy of the Hall of Fame game or other preseason games I would appreciate a copy.

NASN is ok for college games and baseball but otherwise has too much rubbish on it.

I too am interested in what this Pontel / DVD quality etc is like.

I would love to have every fins game on dvd. Ive been to the site, but it dont look that professional. Would like some feedback from anyone else that is subscribed to it.

Cheers...

I'm getting the dvd's from Pontel this season. I havnt decided whether to get every game or just half just yet. You get a choice.Im edging towards all of the games. Im saving my pennies at the mo to get em cos We wont get to see the Fins on Monday Night Football on Channel 5 this season. Shame cos the producer on Channel 5 is a fins fan!! Sky hardly showed Miami last season and i need my fix! NASN dont show the Fins because they dont have the rights to show NFL games live, just the reports and updates. Most of the miami games are early kick offs this season so i subscribe to Field Pass again and listen to games live on the NFL radio.I will let u know what the score is with Pontel when i get in touch with them next week if u want me to.

I used Pontel last season and have just subscribed again this year. The quality is excellant - you get the entire broadcast (unfortunately with the adverts!) and the DVD's arrive on the friday. I keep watching the Tony Bua hit against the Rams last year over and over again!

The packaging is very basic but all your interested in is the game and the good thing is you can either get the whole season or one game at a time (they'll even send you the game of the week when theres a bye!)

Out of interest mate did u have the whole season? Can u pick ya games on week to week basis? and if u have half a season is it up to you what games u buy? I have to ask cos im ordering them next week.

BTW if anyone has old Pontel DVDs or tapes you would like to make available to your Finheaven bretheren also contact me or havanahec.

I'm pretty sure that Pontel thing is what Boomer uses for College games...I think I heard him use that word once.

But it sucks for you guys. As for me, I get to see very little Sunday afternoon football due to horrible state restrictions and lackthereof funds so I'm just planning on downloading the torrents for the dolphins this season and watching what I can when I can otherwise.

just got an e-mail from NASN....

Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for contacting NASN - the only TV channel dedicated to North American Sports in Europe.
NASN are currently in negotiations with the NFL regarding rights for the forthcoming season. We are hoping to make an announcement in the near future, but please also continue to check our website on a regular basis for NFL programming news

............thats good news, but i doubt they will have agreed to a deal before the HOF game :(
