I know there are always "who cares" posts when I start these vegas odds threads, but you know what? I don't care that you don't care.

Anyways, as the Dolphins look to go over .500, they are favored by 4 over the Buffalo Bills.

Line already down to pickem...pretty big move and shows that the betting public quickly came in on Buffalo

I always care about the odds...
Say what you want to,but Vegas has the most unbiased approach
to a football game there is...It's just business to them.

Oh screw it.. its only money... $500000.00 on the Dolphins..

We have trouble in the 4th quarter, so they are betting a last drive to win the game....we always play well against the bills I think we win by 10

We haven't won in buffalo since 2003. It is time for a change.

Edit: Last year's win was in Toronto.

ONLY 4??? I'm sure it's more like 40. Dude, it's the bills

Would definitely be putting money on the Phins to cover. I see no way they don't win by at least a TD.

And what was your feeling going into the Tampa game? It's the NFL it's to easy to lose in this league even to Buffulo!

Games don't move like that in the NFL. It's not pick'em. Dolphins are favored by 3.5. The -4 is the LVSC number but that's hardly an actual betting line. It's the early recommendation from the consulting firm but it's known as a flimsy number and no one actually puts it up.

If you're looking at that Hilton line, which says pick'em, it was probably a case of them taking the game off the board. When that happens it often shows up on the websites as pick'em when in fact there is no line. It's often a screwup at the sportsbooks themselves, when they try to take a game off the board but the computer operator doesn't do it correctly and it shows up on the betting board as a pick'em game. I've seen that dozens of times, including games with spreads of 35 or higher. My friends would try to steal something by betting a game at pick'em but inevitably the computer would reject the wager and the supervisor or sportsbook manager would scold them for trying to take advantage of it. Bally's and the old Desert Inn banned some guys for routinely trying to take advantage of mistakes on the betting board. That's why it's always comical when I read message board posts about how sophisticated Las Vegas is. They are life and death to have the same numbers on the board as in the computer, and to have the proper personnel show up to take the bets. I could detail dozens of examples of flubs, like the time we left the second half betting line open for nearly the entire second half of an NFL game. Luckily no one caught it.
