Dolphins gave tryouts to five LBs: Zac Diles, Brandon Hepburn, Terrell Manning, Etienne Sabino, Kelvin Sheppard.

Update Below on the players Bio:

Kelvin Anthony Sheppard (born January 2, 1988) was a linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts. The Buffalo Bills drafted him with the 68th pick in the 3rd round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He played college football at LSU.

Sheppard was traded from the Bills to the Colts for Jerry Hughes on April 29, 2013.

Etienne Sabino (born November 13, 1990) is a linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was signed by the Giants as an undrafted free agent in 2013. He played college football at the Ohio State University.

He has also played for the St. Louis Rams.

Terrell Manning (born April 16, 1990) was a linebacker for the New York Giants. Manning was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round, 163rd overall, in the 2012 NFL Draft. He played college football at North Carolina State.

He has also played for the San Diego Chargers.

Brandon Hepburn was a linebacker for the Detroit Lions. He played college football for Florida A&M and was drafted in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft by the Lions.

Zachary Lee Diles (born June 11, 1985) is a linebacker who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Houston Texans in the seventh round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played college football at Kansas State.

He has also been a member of the St. Louis Rams, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Indianapolis Colts, and Kansas City Chiefs.

The health of the LB's is a concern.
 
These LBers have to cover kicks because the Trusnik's and McCain's of the world might be getting regular snaps on D.
 
I bet you 4 of those guys are better than Phillip Wheeler.
 
There is also this to consider LB Tripp is out for the game. So I can see where they may need
another LB...

Cut Dallas Thomas. Turner is back and you could have Garner and Turner active on game day. After week one, you could find a vet if need be for depth. I still think Brenner is a better player than Thomas anyways.
 
I'd kick the tires on Sheppard, from what I've heard from Colts fans hes decent in coverage

Might be why we kept 8 linebackers instead of 7. I would say Freeny is probably one of the guys they may cut when Jones and Jordan come back.
 
I've heard of Sabino, but that is only because I am an Ohio State alumni.
