Dolphins GM opening is Coveted

This is coveted? 😆

To me, "coveted" is too strong. NFL GM openings are infrequent. That, by itself, makes the position enticing. I'm going to fabricate to make a point. if there are 3 GM openings - KC, PHI, MIA - Mimi would be less enticing. If the 3 were TEN, CLE, MIA, that level of enticement would rise. I'm confident there would be candidates who would love to get credit for turning around a dysfunctional team. Yeaf, I can see Miami signing a good GM candidate, but "coveted?" I have no confidence in that.

Yea but you are listing teams that will not need a new GM, we will be competing with the likes of the Titans and other bottom dwellers like us. Teams that are any good won’t be making a change, so compared to the teams we are competing with we should have the most coveted GM opening, or at top 2/3 for sure.

Coveted is semantics.

There are only 32 of these jobs in the Milky Way. There are as many as 100 billion star systems in the galaxy.

Tell you what. I'll take this coveted/non-coveted job and you guys can sit on your phones/computers.

Unlike Grier, I will need a capologist.

Which is why I said "fabricating"

Don’t see that happening. Ross has made it clear he likes McDaniel and wants him to return. I imagine they go on a run here and that’s a stipulation that gm has to keep him for another year before selecting his guy

We don’t have a GM currently.

Miami has a lot of good young players. I think it’s a very good opportunity for an experienced GM. Do not like Champ.

Miami should have their pick of the best options. Maybe I’m foolish, but I think Ross will attempt do it the right way.I don’t know why anyone and everyone wouldn’t want the job TBH.

Ownership that rates highly on the player rankings and patient, top notch facilities, access to endless resources, attractive market, history but recent failure, a fanbase who should recognize that it’s gonna take a couple of years.

I get McDaniel and Tua are possible obstacles, but neither are permanent fixtures. They’ve worked to not totally screw up the future cap and the roster is largely young.

Kelly will probably still be around but not as tye head man

It appears that Miami will have no shortage of GM candidates lined up for an opportunity to lead the organization.
It's a job that probably pays $1 million per year or more, so of course there are many people who want it.
