Dolphins | Hadnot working with the first team

Harvey Fialkov, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins OL Rex Hadnot worked at center with the first team at practice Friday, June 9.

He showed last year that he was the best option at center for us. Good job Rex.

Yes but McKinney was working as the first team RG. This is likely just an early switch around. I thought the more interesting point was that Pearson wasn't first OR second at EITHER tackle spot. Hmmmmmm.

second day of camp, not very many positions are locked in right now...and without injury, i think there are only 6 or 7 positions that are "for sure" locked up. i bet we see a lot of different combinations on the oline all the way thru training camp to see who plays best together. but i agree with Dr. Rad, i think Pearson will start RT come opening day.

Nice to experiment a little in mini-camp, see what kinds of things they can come up with. Will be interesting to see if they continue this in TC.

Good to hear but don't think too much of it yet. I'm sure Houck is trying guys out at different spots all over the line right now.

during the 03 season, McKinney proved that he could be a viable guard so that might be a good switch for him.

Pearson or Toledo will both get shots at overtaking him though.

So lets speculate. If Hadnots the C, i guess the rest of the line looks like vernon carey at RG, LJ at LT, Pearson at RT?, and then who plays LG?

LG with jeno James is probably the most "locked" of any of the Oline positions, imo.

I doubt Pearson will even make the team much less start. His injuries have been too consistent throughout his career. And we have alot of youth battling for Houck's trust. I'd say: LT-Shelton McIntosh
LG-James CJ Brooks
C-Hadnot Ephraim
RG-McKinney Toledo/Berger
RT-Carey Alabi/Toledo

I'm liking that. Believe it or not, but Hadnot, in his post-practice interview actually said that Seth McKinney helped him in his conversion from right guard to center.
