Dolphins have agreed to terms with WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine

Big fat nothing burger and a waste of 3 mil in cap. Tarik Black on the practice squad would probably bring more. And he is NOT 6'2". He may not even be 6'1". Dolphins need to use a late round pick on Lan Larrison and use him as WR and RB. Actually, he is probably going to run a sub 4.5 at his pro day, might end up needing to use a mid round pick.

Man, I hate those combine guys who lie about height. That 6025 measurement was probably really a 5025! This guy should be a jockey!

There is context to be considered with catch rates. Are the incompletions good passes or not? What are the usual depths of passes to him? Are they being broken up? Are they slightly off target? How often does he drop well-thrown passes? Is this area something he can improve on with Tua's superior accuracy?
Okay you got me. He is an all pro WR. Just took Grier to figure it out. Hey maybe we will win a playoff game this year. That will be a first under Grier.

As in he isn't a guy you want getting high volume targets. He is a mid 50s catch rate type guy. Which as I said is fine because he will be tatget 4/5 at best (maybe WRs 3) as in Hill, Waddle, Smith, Achane will all be higher targeted guys.

He has a low catch rate mainly because he's been targeted deeper on average. 12th in NFL in yards per reception, when you look at the catch rates in the top12 in this category, the average catch rate is ~55%, so pretty much par for the course.

I get that. Look I like the signing. But all I am saying is if this guy was in 1/2 role he wouldn't be all that great, hence the low salary. Some of that low catch rate is because he doesn't generate consistent separation, which a few posters have said. He can be good if used in the right role which hopefully he will be as a 50/50 type 3/4 WR.

Thought it was a given he was signed as a situational player that was an actual need on this team.
