The truth of the matter is that Miami's talent is not that far above winless teams.
A 7-9 or 8-8 team in this league is a team that isn't playing too far down when it loses to bottom-dwelling teams.
And Miami probably has fewer 1-3 round picks from its last five drafts that are still on roster and playing impact snaps -- and yes, by this I mean fewer high level draft picks across its roster than bottom dwelling teams.
Some people have no clue has to how bare the cupboards were, talent wise. Apart from a few FA playmakers, Miami is a hodge-podge of medium to low round draft picks, UDFA, and non-descript FAs.
Football is a system sport, far more than many other sports. And when you feed low-level stuff into the system across the board, it causes system failure on a consistent basis.
Which is one reason why it's so stupid to pile on Tannehill in all this mess.
