Jones’ return, assuming he’s healthy, would drastically improve the secondary, as Needham would be able to return to the slot, and Kohou, the undrafted rookie, could be the fourth corner, providing depth.

Jones still has another week to come along. I expect him to play vs Jets. I think Kohou is our CB4 over Crossin and the rest. They could surprise everyone and release Noah Igbinoghene, who’s been a healthy scratch in two of the four games and has played just nine snaps, all on special teams.

well, they actually don’t have to play him for the next 3 games if they don’t want to.....I sure hope he's ready to come back but it might take time before he gets back to what he was before the injury if he gets back to it.

As for making room it seems moving C Carter to IR or PUP or whatever is a no brainer?

Never going to cut Noah this year. If you cut him now we take a 6 million dollar cap hit. He is 3 million right now. That is 3 million less we have for next season (roll over). He is just a wasted roster spot this year for cap reasons. Next year he is gone 3.5 million if we keep him plus one less roster spot or 3 million and a open roster spot.

no but he's not going to start ahead of a healthy Jones.....he can be the nickel or dime
Thats true bro but keep in mind he may not be 100 yet in the sense that he has gotten no real, non practice reps in a while....a long while...so he may be rusty coming back so itd be best to ease him in and not rush him as if he had a full TC, preseason and a bunch of games under his belt...

that's why I said he would not start ahead of a "healthy" Jones.......that means healthy and in football/game shape and ready to play....at this time we don’t even know if Jones will ever be the same but Kohou will play anyway. We're on nickel most of the time anyway

PFF has Kohou as the 8th best overall corner in league. You really want that sitting on the sidelines???
I think this kid is a future starter in this league, and likely a darn good one. He's honestly acting like a first round value.

The secondary certainly needs Jones to come back to full form. I would not rush him back though.

I get that Noah is on the roster due to cap reasons but would you rather have Noah's cap relief and thus cut one of the backup corners who have played well so far (for backups), or take the cap hit and keep a young CB? Tough choice.

Kohou and Byron Jones may be our starting CB's for a few weeks.

For me, ideally at this point I'd like to see us have a healthy X, Byron Jones starting at CB with Kohou as our Nickel and Needham as our Dime. That's my preference.
