Dolphins have interest in former Miami Hurricanes LB Denzel Perryman

He's a good linebacker, and was ranked pretty good last season. I assume he would be replacing Van Noy. In fact he was rated a lot higher than KVN, is younger, and would instantly make the defense better.

Nothing against OP, I like and appreciate the articles you post.

This "have interest in" story title has become almost meaningless.

A good FO has interest in any player that is an upgrade, at a commensurate price.

Crabbs does some nice work, but his "source" is Barry Jackson, who's source is who?

In this case, even BJ (apt) emphasizes "some" interest.

What does that mean in real terms?

I honestly don't know what sources are used by these websites but if "these sources" are accurate then he would be a good upgrade.

MEH, his coverage skills are questionable at best. Not sure he would be the optimum scheme fit here.

I liked him coming out of college, but isn't he more of a two down linebacker? In other words, more in line with Roberts?

This is correct. He's a solid run stopper and can thump with the best of them. Some pass rushing skills but not a coverage guy
Some injury concerns

For the right price I would be interested

It’s hard to really call them sources. Just apparently someone with some sort of “link” to the team possibly. Really Miami could be interested in just about every player at a position of need.

Brother fan those skills make a linebacker better in the inside. I would like to think that some linebackers fit better in specific schemes but lately I seen the steelers use smaller guys in defense. Other than TJ Watts, some of the starters are not even 6 feet in the defense.
