Don't remember the original source but will attempt to get it. That means that the three cut on Sunday have been replaced by Longo, Philipp, and Reynolds, and the roster stands at 90 (including the three unsigned rookies).

He's on the OL..after looking at some of his highlights, he finishes his blocks..he has alot of pancake blocks.."nasty"

Analysis

Strengths Very well-distributed frame. Rare upper-body strength -- bench pressed 225 pounds 47 times at his pro day workout and displays the football-playing demeanor to open holes in the run game. Efficient pulling and trapping. Plays faster than 40 time (produced on an ankle not fully recovered).

Weaknesses Is late to reach the second level and cut off linebackers. Could play with more substance and a better base in pass protection. Tends to set narrow.

Draft Projection Priority free agent

Bottom Line A strong, physical guard prospect with enough grit, toughness and movement skill to compete for a job. Superhuman strength will attract the interest of NFL offensive line coaches.

With 47 reps of 225 that is like former Dolphin NT Larry Chester type power.

47 places him second all time if I'm not mistaken in the bench, he is definitely in the top 5 all time however that does not translate into NFL success. Most of the top 5 in the bench press washed out of the NFL or made little impact.

He is a strong mo'fo' however.

He would rank third if he did it at the combine.

OL Sam Longo impressed scouts in the bench press as he hoisted the 225-pound bar 47 times, which tops all players that participated at the NFL Combine. His 47 reps rank third all-time by a draftable player behind Stephen Paea (49) of Oregon State and Justin Ernest (51) from Eastern Kentucky.

He doesn't need to get to the second level, just throw DTs into the LBs he needs to block...

He doesn't even come close to locking out his reps

This video is not from his pro day when he did the 47 reps in front of NFL personnel.
