Not that I think their ratings are perfect or anything, I think they are well off in certain cases, but it's the off-season so why not?

Josh Sitton - G - 2017 Rating: #5
Ju'Wuan James - T - 2017 Rating: #17
Frank Gore - RB - 2017 Rating: #17
Kenyon Drake - RB - 2017 Rating #18
Danny Amendola - WR - 2017 Rating: #25 (Albert Wilson is next highest WR at #33)
Reshad Jones - S - 2017 Rating: #29
Bobby McCain - CB - 2017 Rating: #47

None of our LBs, TEs, DEs, or DTs are worth even listing, they were all horribly ranked.

Cutler was worse than 33 other QBs (Rank #34) even though there are only 32 teams...yes our QB play was that bad.

4 of our top 6 players we just signed this year, we also have Tannehill coming back to replace Cutler , yet somehow everyone thinks we will be WORSE this year??

Also obviously for positions like WR and CB they assume 2 starters per team, so the rankings for Amendola and Wilson are actually quite good.

For some reason, PFF definitely doesn't like Stills's game. I believe they ranked him lower-middle of the pack in 2017 but something like 116 out of 117 in 2016 despite his 8 long TDs.

I think they are ranking all WRs with enough snaps or catches. Since 11/nickel package is king, there is about an average of three WRs per snap. So there should be well over 100 qualifying wideouts.

Thanks yah I wasn't positive on their formula but knew it obviously had to be a lot more than 32, makes no sense on the Stills rankings, think I saw him in the high 80s for 2017

Remember when the Eagles signed all those top players and formed the "dream team"? Not saying that's anything close to what Miami did but it takes more than just talent otherwise those early 2000's chargers teams would have at least 1 super bowl. 4 of our top 6 players were signed this year but we have no idea how they are going to perform on this team with these set of teammates and this coaching staff.

Good stuff, thanks McMichael.

IMHO, moving forward I believe James, Gore, Amendola and Wilson are overrated by PFF, while Jones is underrated. Usually I'm the guy suggesting that our players are underrated … so this is unfamiliar territory for me, LOL.

That is interesting stuff. Thanks.

I wonder where Howard would rank over his last six games or so? Certainly came on strong at the end of the season.

I think Howard, Drake and Fitzpatrick have a chance to be elite.

The real joke is how according to PFF he shouldn't have even been starting on the worst team in the entire league, and we started him almost every game ;\

No better option I suppose... Tannehill coming back to our team has a chance to be the best single player upgrade to a team in the entire league this year unless one of the rookie QBs really has an outstanding year....

Him and Luck are on similar career arcs. They're in for a boost if he can play.

That’s really ugly...I think that says more about how bad they are than how good they are.

Yes, for a few reasons. It's not a good sign if all your top players were added via FA. It takes time for people to learn systems and gel as a unit. Next, 3/4 of those guys are over 30 and Gore/Amendola have seen their best years.

Also, Gore/Drake play same position and so do Ammendola/Wilson. They'll hardly be on the field at the same time so you can't really get maximum value

Can't really agree that it's "not a good sign" that we aquired those players this year...regardless of who we had on our team last year, adding the #5 NFL guard, a top 30 WR and a top 16 RB are all very good signings....Gore and drake can keep eachother fresh, disagree that they won't get max value out of them.

I do agree that Amendola and Wilson might be competing for the same snaps a bit, was odd to sign both of them, maybe we overreacted to the Landry loss?
