Likely as WRs coach.

The Dolphins have added ex-UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell to their offensive coaching staff.
The Chiefs, Broncos, and Texans had been in pursuit of Dorrell earlier this winter. Dorrell will most likely be asked to coach Miami's wide receivers.

That is a GREAT hire because he's an excellent assistant coach. Kudos to Parcells and Ireland for getting him. He was believed to be going to Kansas City. Great move!!!

The staff is starting to take shape, thats for sure. I hope Hoffman remains assistant ST coach and we bring in a new ST coach to replace Armstrong.

Expect the 3 Cowboys to be signed, sealed and delivered by tomorrow (Pasqualoni, Bowles, and Rodgers).

That WILL happen, don't worry

Yeah. I know we're getting the Cowboys tomorrow but It'd still be great to get Ryan as DC.

Everything that has been said points to Paul Pasqualoni being the next Defensive Coordinator so forget Rex Ryan. Parcells and Ireland are going to raid the Cowboys staff for as many people as they can get.

Dorrell is an excellent hire

Name: Karl Dorrell

Current job: Head coach, UCLA

Past jobs: Receivers coach, Denver Broncos, 2000-02, offensive coordinator, University of Washington, 1999

Pros: Learned the Mike Shanahan offensive system in Denver and would be a good fit for any team with young offensive talent.

Cons: Aside from the big win over USC, Dorrell's Bruins took a step backward this season, and they looked unfocused in their bowl loss to Florida State. That's not the mark of a well-coached team.

Conclusions: NFL Network's Adam Schefter has reported that many NFL front offices think highly of Dorrell. Dorrell is a natural leader who could inject some much-needed energy in any team that hires him.

Horrible Head Coach for us (Think Wanny but without the Jay lovefest). I just hope he doesn't screw over another one of my favorite teams.

I tire of alumni piping up

should I trust Shanahan et al's opinion of Dorrell or a crabby, spoiled student?

Spoiled? That honor goes to U$C, my friend.

No doubt Shanahan will give a good opinion of Dorrell, it's what made us sign him in the first place. Now he did clean up the team's character but in terms of X's and O's, he was lacking. Some students even made a website named www.firedorrell.com because of his boneheaded playcalling and inability to jump-start the offense.
