The Miami Dolphins hosted free agent fullback Ahmard Hall on Wednesday, a team spokesman confirmed.

Hall, 32, played all six seasons with the Tennessee Titans. Last season, he started seven of 12 games with six carries for 24 yards.

Hall (5-11, 241 pounds) was the lead blocker for Titans running backs for five consecutive seasons, inlcuding three straight for running back Chris Johnson from 2008-10.

Apparently the Dolphins are also looking at Ryan Lewis in the draft as a possible fullback. He is probably a late round prospect or college free agent. I wonder if this means Philbin views Clay as strictly a tight end?

very strange. we dont have a true FB on the roster that fits the role that Ahmad Hall would fill.

I always liked Hall, good story, good guy, and hard nosed player. I hate to try and make analogies when coaches switch teams, but I was wondering if Philbin would look for a "John Kuhn" type fullback. The guy became a cult hero up in Green Bay.

Per Rotoworld: The Dolphins hosted free agent FA Ahmad Hall on Wednesday.

Hall is 31 years old, and his lead blocking has fallen off significantly with age. He could be in the mix to compete for a job if signed by the Dolphins.

Why would we look at this guy if his "lead blocking has fallen off significantly"?

This reminds me of how us Dolphins fans view Lousaka Polite. Just a short time ago, he had 2 years straight where he DOMINATED 3rd and 4th and 1 or shorter. Now he is nowhere to be found. Man, how quickly and abruptly NFL careers end. I think this guy Hall may be too old.

i guess were going to be running a lot of.....SPIDER 3 Y BANANA

i don't understand the point of this...guys a batterimg ram and old to boot and we're not gonna be able to carry a true fb...i don't understand why the heck for this o we haven't spent any time with the fb from umass he fits what we want to do on o...

Not sure about age. I like hall but would only sign him to 1 or 2 year contract. He may be able to open up some huge holes for Bush. We dont really have a big blocking FB on our roster and we need that. We can get one in the late rounds too.

the phucking guy was rated the worst FB in NFL a year ago. Can't block, can't catch and can't run and Miami wants this guy??? I thoght we have plan.

I've never heard of him so he must suck.. How much is a fullback used in a WC offense anyways? And why release a Polite just to shortly pick up a FB who is worse than he ended up being? Put Clay back there once in a while. Clay going out in pass routes from the fullback position would be DEADLY

a lead blocking pretty much only fb..not much...thus i say it doesn't make sense...daniel thomas is a single back set one cut north south runner doesn't make sense for him...messam same thing...you line up reggie bush behind a true fb like hall and you give away a lot of your intentions...we need a guy like a kuhn a guy who can take some short yardage and goalline and help in the passing game...

i doubt hall would make this 53...to be honest

He seemed to do a pretty good job blocking for Johnson. Did not Johnson earn a 60M contract running behind this guy.

does tennessee employ a wco??? did they when johnson ran behind him??? the wco is a different animal...true lead fb is not needed or all that valued
