After all the move the team made this off season, we posted on if they were better or worse. At that time, there were mixed reviews and many questions on the lack of depth with some saying that would come from within. It is too early to really say how good some of the improvement is but, it is looking good to me. Coaching developing young players is a VG thing.

It's overly obvious that Tannehill and Landry have taken a BIG step forward. How many other players, who did little last year, can we now say are going to help this year based on the improvement we have read about?

I have to start with Fede, and Johnson (to a lessor degree) on the DL.

Next?

To a lesser degree, I would have to also add the name Jordie Tripp to that list, as I continually hear his name called for the right reasons, and Matt Hazel continues to be talked about competing for that 5th or possibly 6th spot if they go that route.

I really like Matthews who has been looking good. I think the time spent with Tannehill in the off season is paying off. There appears to be a good chemistry between them.

I also like Matthews, he just needs to be quiet, and let his play force the coaches hand to move him up, every time a report comes out he wants out, it makes him look bad.

There are so many receivers right now that deserve to be on the roster, this is going to be a very interesting preseason.

Tripp was getting first team reps at LB last training camp until he was injured so I'm not surprise he has continued to progress as he has.

The Dolphins didn't address the position in the recent draft until the fifth round when they selected the former captain of the Montana defense. Tripp is already being touted as a value pick who will outperform his draft position.

During Thursday's practice, Tripp got extensive work with the first unit and also in the nickel package. Though projected more as an outside backer, he is also getting a look in the middle.

I think Fede, Aiken, McCain, and Tripp will have a positive impact on the season, I can't say to what extent, but at least two will be good enough to allow us to move on from other players.

On offense I still think Turner ends up as a little better then average guard...working against Suh has to have it benefits. I also like what LeMichael James potentially brings as a 3rd down back...could see him get 8-10 touches on offense and as a return specialist.

Aikens and Fede will be major contributors this year and very likely starters next year. McCain could very well become what that idiot Ireland thought Jordan would be. Tripp has shown substantial improvement and likely has a role on this team. Hazel and AJ have shown ability at our deepest positions. Unbelievable draft by Hickey.

Nice thing is we'll probably be able to look at this year's draft the same way next year with players like Bobby McCain and Ced Thompson emerging.

I forgot about Johnson who has looked good at DT so far as well.

Jenkins was already beasting last year, can't wait to see him this year and Fede has really been doing well, really rooting for him.

I'll go with Turner. I think he'll start and make steady improvement. I didn't hear Suh's name once when he was in during the first part of practice against Suh. Also saw some comments about holes opening for runs and good protection early in the practice with Tanny. Also never heard that Turner was replaced today with the 1's. Linkenbach replaced Douglas at LG if the tweets were accurate.

Obviously we don't have the proof yet, but last years draft should go down as a very very good one. Besides Lynch
