This week’s matchup against New England will be a very tough test indeed. Or, will it? Past reputation is hiding their deficiencies. Do you want to guess how good New England’s defense was against the pass last year? 30th. Overall, they were just 25th in total yards allowed. Week 2’s opponent was 32nd against the pass. Cleveland (Week 3) was 18th. No excuses are allowed. If Henne is what we all hope, then he needs to have success against these teams. He needs to protect the ball. He needs to lead our offense into the end zone. And here is another factor good quarterbacks take advantage of: two of those three games are at home.
