Update: The Dolphins have expressed interest in signing Collins to back up Daunte Culpepper (knee), the Contra Costa Times reports. :D
Recommendation: Miami recently contacted Collins' agent, David Dunn, about a potential signing. Collins would provide the Dolphins insurance if Culpepper isn't ready for the season.

Collins would be okay, but I would guess he wants to go to a place where he has a shot at being the full time starter. When Daunta is healthy Collins will have no chance at all in Miami.

If i remember correctly David Dunn is also Joey Harringtons agent

We're interested in everyone dont you know that? lol. Out of the three available, I'd rather have the QB who would be able to become acclimated to the system in a short amount of time. I honestly wish we could have kept Sage but you know how this business is. Or better yet, if we could have kept Frerrotte...but we all know the deal with that and how he has the bitter taste in his mouth, etc. Its pretty crappy that we have to look for a second string QB too.

If there is a QB on the market, or about to be on the market, then Miami is interested in him. Miami has a hurt Culpepper, Cleo Lemon and Blech Berlin over in Europa. If anyone on this board thinks that there may be a veteran QB available as a FA or for trade then you can be certain that the Dolphins have looked into it.

I dunno man. I can't really get too excited over the prospect of nabbing Kerry Collins. He's barely completed over 50% of his passes for his career and he has almost as many INT's as he does TD's. His career QB rating is just over 70. I don't know. Although stats aren't everything, there is SOME truth to them. Besides, I kind of find him as a loose cannon. I can see him having that 5 INT game.

Collins is much better than the other options available right now. The issue will be for him to have a chance to start somewhere (Baltimore?). He did go to the Raiders and the Giants as a backup. The thing is, he knew he'd eventually be the starter there. If the money is right, then I'd love to have him. He did take the Giants to the Super Bowl. Not bad for a backup.

EXACTLY, IF the $$$$ right. Thing is, he'll be looking for starter money and we BETTER NOT even think of it. But like anything, if the price is right....
