I realized earlier this month -- not long after returning to this site for the first time in 14 years -- that it was time to reup my jersey game since the last ones I had were Chris Chambers and Ricky Williams from my teenage years.

As I expected given how pro sports have continued to commercialize and monetize everything, there were a few different options to choose from in terms of style and fit.

What I did not expect was that were was no truly authentic jersey that is exactly like the ones worn on the field. There are ones with similarities but nothing identical, which was surprising.

For you all: Which jersey is the closest to the real life thing? I know there's the Game, Vapor Fuse, and Vapor Untouchable jerseys, and different pros and cons on each.

Thank you from this returning Dolphins fan!

I chuckled.

I couldn't imagine caring about Dolphins jerseys.
I haven't bought a legit one in many, many years (probably 1993 or 1994, Zach Thomas orange). Complete waste of money, and its not the price (though it is ridiculous), I can easily afford it, but this league and this team don't deserve it.

The last jersey I paid money for was an orange Culpepper jersey. 4 games into that season I pretty much decided I am never buying a jersey again until its time to commemorate something important.

I was given a Tannehill jersey for Christmas about 10 years ago, that would've been the last piece of Dolphins apparel I attained in the last 20 years, with one exception, my Finheaven hat. I still proudly wear that but that has more to do with FH than the Dolphins.

This is absolutely not the right time to reup on the jersey game bro.

It's football. I figure whoever's jersey I get will be gone in the not-too-distant future, no matter what.

If only NFL were more like soccer where you could get a nameless jersey, but then the league would not make as much money since the jerseys do not change yearly or regularly like they do in soccer.

Safest option, I guess, would be to customize one with my last name to ensure longevity and permanency! :p

If you purchase any jersey this year it would not be authentic! Hill is a fraud, Tua is a fraud, Waddle more than a fraud. The originals played last year! This is one in every four year opportunity! This is the time to purchase the jersey you would no longer want to wear next year! The time to purchase the next downfall player that may become great on another team, or totally disappear in ours. You can also invest in some injury prone veteran so you can use it for one game and then it will remain brand new for the rest of the season. And if you are worried for paying too much you can purchase a Grier Draft Party Hat. After that you won’t be worried about “anything” and you will keep employed even if you suck at what you do for at least 20 years. So it’s a good investment.

This is the only correct answer right now. 🤣 I can't imagine supporting the current regime/product directly in any way.

If you absolutely must buy a jersey though, The only one I could recommend in good conscience is Zach Sieler.

I’d wear that too. As for Dolphins stuff, I buy on eBay, and only old logo stuff. Found some great stuff from the 90s that was practically new and cheaper now than in the 90s. Love those older styled jackets especially.

You know the other ones (that aren't authentic) burn just as well as the authentic ones...

Just sayin'.

Real talk -- I can't buy a Dolphins jersey unless I want that player to leave the team the following year.

Ricky Williams
Ryan Tannehill
Brandon Marshall
Vontae Davis
Ndamukong Suh
