MiamiDolphins.com reports Miami Dolphins head coach Nick Saban said he is pleased with the development of Dolphins backup QB Cleo Lemon. The Dolphins are still looking to add another quarterback.

Seems like some people dont take lemon too serious out there...

Thing is, nobody knows for sure what Lemon can do. He has never taken an NFL snap, so people just assume he can't play. I am eager to see what he can do in training camp and the preseason. He won't be the #2 this year for us(I don't want him to), but I would like to see him develop into a solid #3 for years.

From what i understand Lemon has the smae style of play that Duante used to have i.e. mobile. Maybe when Duante is done we can just keep on goin with Lemon.

p.s. No you won't get a lemon,
From Toyota of Orange. lol

Nice to know. There really hasn't been much talk about him so noone can really know if he is really good or not. I just made the assumption that he wasn't working out so well if we were trying to find another 2nd string QB.

Not sure what is so funny. Cleo Lemon wasn't brought here to be a Pro Bowl starter, he was brought here to be insurance incase our starting QB is injured. Any progress with a backup player or any player for that matter is good news for the Fins. I don't know, maybe I'm missing the joke, but I doubt it.:shakeno:

I agree.
Not everyone can be a full year starter. Some can give 2-3 games and hope they win them. You dont look at a MLB closer and say, Hey you cant pictch 8 innings so you suck. Come on, everyone has their job, thats what makes a complete team.

well put

It's also like roll players in basketball. They may not be stars, but you can't win game without them.

(unless your kobe bryant and can score 81 points)

I find that funny also :sidelol: :sidelol: ...... We are laughing because right after they said coach is pleased with his progress.....they're still looking for a another QB....... i'm sorry if you guys don't get it but thats funny stuff..
Let's go Dolphins :dolphins: :dolphins:

Guys trust me on this, Cleo Lemon is our last resort when it comes to backup.. and dont worry about brock berlin cause he'll be waived by the beginning of the season, so dont take this too seriously
im proud he's learning, im just saying he's still not that good enough

Imagine the headlines if Cleo is the opening game QB and Miami actually wins:

Saban Takes Lemon, Makes Lemonade

I'm not a big fan of Lemon, just because of the hype he got when we got him, but I could certainly become a fan when we see him. It'll be good to see him get time in preseason with our guys.
