DAVIE – Only eight days removed from arthroscopic knee surgery, Dolphins left guard Jeno James returned to practice Wednesday and worked with the first-team offense in the early part of the session that was open to the media.

The only Dolphins player on the 53-man roster who wasn't participating in the early part of practice was quarterback Daunte Culpepper (knee). Cornerback Travis Daniels (knee) and linebackers Channing Crowder (foot) and Derrick Pope (hamstring) practiced in red injury jerseys.

Nick Saban said before that Wednesday practice will be the best indicator of who will play and who will not.

I take it that everyone will dress and play, except probably Daunte.

in all seriousness a healthy jeno james can make a world of difference! for the last couple of years, the team has run more to the left than right. jeno has been playing hurt and it shows! (too bad we can't put someone else in). if he's back to form, this line has the potential of being mediocre rather than horrible!

james has arguably been our worst o lineman this year. whether that's because of injury, i don't know, but i was kind of hoping to see what berger can do...

well this is a good indicator that Saban doesn't think Berger is the answer at LG. plus these remaining 9 games we need to evaluate if James is going to be a part of our OLine next year or not.

Since Miami usually keeps 9 OLinemen: 5 starters and 4 backups (4 OTs and 5 G/C's)... we need to gauge what OL positions we are going to upgrade and which ones we are going to keep.

So far it seems Carey at RT and Shelton at RG are moving towards being here next year.

Toledo, Mckinney, and Anderson are automatically going to at least be a part of training camp due to the fact that they were put on IR instead of being cut. Maybe they battle it out for backup spots.

So the jury is out on James, MacIntosh, Hadnot, and Alabi.

We need to know if Alabi needs to be cut and if DMac needs to be re-signed.
