Bryan Gilmore signed with the 49ers. Ouch. Gilmore was not an exceptional receiver - but he was the ideal #4 or 5 guy and arguably is one of the best special teams players in the league. I loved watching his great plays on special teams.
Sammy Morris visited Seattle as a possible back up to Sean Alexander. I can understand why Morris would want to go there - if RW comes back, that makes him the #3 RB. He'll get more PT as the primary backup to Alexander. However, that, again, would hurt our special teams as he was the leading tackler on ST's last year.
