I am sick and tired of seeing the likes of Bollinger and Losman come into Dolphins Stadium and light it up. Then you see them play against other teams and they can't do much. The pass defense is a huge problem that I hope gets fixed in the offseason.

The secondary needs help in the offseason and will get it.

But, do not overlook the fact that Bollinger was the first 300 yard passer against the Fins in the last 43 games.

That leads the NFL

You know that's really an amazing stat when you think about opposing offenses and their inability to run on this defense. Most teams throw against us 40+ times a game. With this depleted secondary, I'm just surprised it hasn't happened sooner. The Reggie Howard flag on 4th and 13 yesterday what an atrocious call. Sometimes I think these young guys back there get a bad rap. Sammy was all over that guy on the sideline a few plays later and they didn't call anything on him. I think Mr. Zebra knew he blew the Reggie call and gave us a break on the Sammy play.

We've got very bad cornerbacks. Madison is no longer starter quality, Daniels is not starter quality at this point, and Reggie Howard never was.

What I'm amazed about, personally, is that we're second in the league in sacks with 44, despite a really bad defensive backfield.

Madison isnt starter quality?

that is just insane

anytime teams throw 40+ times your gonna give up big yards I dont care who you are, Madison may not be superstar quality anymore but to say he isnt starter quality is a slap in the face to a great corner

Madison is just an average starting DB at this point, nothing special. Our DBs have no coverage skills.

We' ll be alright. Remember, Mr. Poole will be back, and Im sure that we'll draft at least 1 CB for future consideration. As long as Poole returns healthy, our starters will be fine.

Pressure on the QB has really been our only saving grace all year. During this 4 game win streak the secondary has just found a way at crucial times to pull their heads out and come up with plays. Their young, they'll get better and Nick will provide help through FA and Draft. I can say this I sure feel alot better now than I did at this time last year.

Some ridiculous comments on this thread.

Madison is starter quality - he is no longer elite but he is still a good CB and Daniels is already a decent CB and will likely turn into a very good CB.

If you add back Will Poole and pick up one of the many veteran CB's in Free Agency you should be OK.

He's right any team that backs up 40+ times is gonna get some yards on your defense. But we really need to strengthen up the secondary more in the offseason. To start it off let's bring the LAW down to Miami. Our secondary will be top notch again next season.

madison is a good starter, certainly not what he was, but he's the best we got and it'd be hard to upgrade over him in one offseason, so no reason to get rid of him (non-contract related anyway)

Agreed. Madison is no superstar by any measure anymore, but he's still an average CB who - at least recently - appears to be giving his best effort on every play. If the Dolphins can make his salary work, I'd love to have him back next year, opposite an improved Daniels. We do need some CB depth desperately, though!!! I think Bell can be a star at Safety w/ a little more time.

madison is not what he once was but he is worthy on starting opposite poole next year with daniels operating the slot and lets see what shyrdonya mitchell and maybe 2 years from now our starters are will poole shirdonya mitchell and at safety some draft pick and travis daniels...

Man, I forgot about Will Poole. We still need to bring in a decent Vet, though to make this work consistently.

If Will Poole returns will form I do believe he'll be in line to start.
