100% agree. If he ever puts it all together he'll be Prime Mario Williams. But for now he seems more like Clowney. Who was also a top run stopper in his prime, but never had more than 9 sacks in a season.Stewart may already be the best run defender and edge setter at defensive end.
If he can unlock the pass rush potential, Stewart is definitely worth a 1st round pick.
He's not anywhere close to the pass rusher Clowney was coming out of college, though. Clowney had 20 more sacks in less games. I get what your saying but that comparison is aggressive, IMO.100% agree. If he ever puts it all together he'll be Prime Mario Williams. But for now he seems more like Clowney. I never mentioned him as a pass rusher. My reference was to both being top notch run defenders. He's not anywhere close to the pass rusher Clowney was coming out of college, though. Clowney had 20 more sacks in less games. I get what your saying but that comparison is aggressive, IMO.

So do I. There's a lot of talent to work with. According to the A & M Dlinemen at the combine, it was the way they were taught to play their position, that hurt their sack totals. Scourton, Stewart and others, said they were asked to play closer and defend the run 1st. I think he's going to improve with better coaching. But I also realize he could just be a pedestrian pass rusher, in spite, of his pass rush win rate being very good.I like the way he plays the game....
