Dolphins | Maddox could draw Miami's interest

Jason Cole and Armando Salguero, of the Miami Herald, report free agent QB Tommy Maddox (Steelers) might draw some interest from the Miami Dolphins. Maddox is a great admirer of new Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey from when Mularkey held the same job with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
 
please no, I want a new young QB so we can't stop talking about QB's every year.
 
just a journalist trying to connect the dots..............I highly doubt that Maddox will get much interest from anyone.
 
Obviously not Drew Brees but definately would be an upgrade over Frerotte.

If we have no choice I say go for it but we all know Saban will do better!!

So forget about it!!!!
 
I beleive if we don't get Brees or restructure Gus he could be signed. We do need a quality back-up though so he probably will be a good consideration.
 
If we get rid of frerotte , wouldn't mind getting maddox as a back up to brees.
 
Maddox's oNLY good seasons came under Mularkey so it may make sense..but as a starter.........no freakin WAY!
 
I think they are looking at him as a Back-up,Frerotte will get axesd today and Brees will be signed on Friday. We are interviewing Mawae today and apparently Adams like his debbie treats so much he came back for a second visit.
 
Frerotte is MUCH better than Tommy Maddox. I don't know what some of you are talking about. The only reason Maddox was semi-decent in Pittsburgh was because they had a running game and good receivers. I would definately NOT take Maddox as an upgrade over Gus...no way!

Ya, I don't think Maddox is an upgrade over Frerotte. I would stick with Frerotte over getting Maddox.
