1st- Ted Ginn Jr. WR Ohio State
2nd(A)-Zach Miller TE
2nd(B)- Justin Blalock G Texas Tech
3rd: Jon Wade CB Tennessee
4th: Adam Koets T Oregon State
6th: Ryan Smith CB Florida
7th: David Holloway LB Maryland
7th: To KC for Trent Green

No thanks. I am not crazy about a lot of your picks, and it would be just about pointless to acquire Trent Green and not draft a QB on day 1 to groom.

Blalock won't drop to 2B yet alone 2A..

Koets has a 7th/Undrafted FA grade as of right now so the 4th is way too early, I'd prefer Frye from VT if you wanted a developmental OT

I like the mock. It's very likely that some of the big name guards will be sitting there in round 2. Good job

How about:

R1. Ted Ginn...gives Chambers/Booker room to get open/make plays
2a. Josh Beekman...many say he is the best Center prospect.
2b. Tony Ugoh...we need an LT.
R3. Andy Alleman...Guard.
R4. Marcus Thomas (NT)...1st round talent, but his issues will make him slip.
R6. CB
R7. CB

I realize we have Toledo and Alabi...but they are unproven and we cant rely on them. We should still draft OL and just have a big camp battle. Worse comes to worse...if they BOTH pan out to be great...we can trade one of them for a pick later on. Marcus Thomas from Florida, can play NT...and then picking CB, well we sorta need some depth there.

Don't like Ginn with the first pick. Can get a number of WR's later that can contribute as much. If we were going to draft a WR first, I'd rather have a true WR like Meachem.

A TE with the second pick? Sorry, this isn't going to happen.

A guard with the third? THe team is loaded with guards right now, we need a LT really bad and a C. Guard is the last OL position that we need to fill.

Also, the Phins have to get a QB. Where's the QB????

Don't like this draft at all.

GO PHINS~!

im sorry but this team is NOT loaded with Guards. we NEED a guard. James is gone, Jacox is gone, Anderson is gone...all we have is Toledo for LG. and he isnt proven yet. sure we have backups...but BACKUPS.

As a VT student who has watched every game this year believe me, you don't want Frye. I don't know how many times our QB was blindsided within two seconds of the snap.

As for the original mock, I'm not crazy about the Ginn pick but I do like both the Miller and Blalock picks, although I doubt Blalock is still there at 60. The rest seem ok to me, although I'd rather draft a guy like Trent Edwards than trade for Trent Green.

Sure it is, if we drafted a starting caliber center and tackle that is. Then Hadnot, Toledo, and Shelton all become guards. Then if we sign whats his name from the Falcons, team wouldn't be too bad off at guard. We would also have whats his name and Hadnot as emergency centers too. Alibi as maybe a starting tackle or the draftee if he beats Alibi out for the position.

A center and a tackle fixes all our problems, yay (well it only fixes our problems if the center can beat out Hadnot for the position and Alibi or the new draftee are at least adequately effective at LT that is :/)!

i like ginn jr for sure even over meachem i have a funny feeling about this guy...ck has convinced me

I think people are having Marcus Thomas falling far more than he actually will. Yes, he has had some off the field issues, but he will only fall so far. As for him in Miami, it doesnt work. Just like Amobi Okoye, he is a speed DT made for the 4-3 defense. He is not big enough to hold up to the rigors of NT in the 3-4 and that is not his forte. He is known for pass rushing, not taking on multiple blockers for run support. It would be dumb for us to consider him unless its for a 3-4 DE, which makes little sense.

Oh and on the subject of this mock, isn't Ginn still rehabbing his injury? I can't see any team really taking that much of a chance on him in the first round especially given there are a lot of very talented players to be had which could come in immediately (and healthy to boot). Also we're not drafting TE in the first day people, get that through ya heads!
