The Dolphins have dominated the NFL spring season. While most teams are plodding along with their 2008 draft picks, the Dolphins have signed six of them.

They have only three to go before their class is secured.

"It fits into the culture that we'd like to establish," Dolphins General Manager Jeff Ireland said Tuesday. "We want things done yesterday. There's a sense of urgency to almost everything we do."

The Dolphins signed No. 1 choice Jake Long four days before the April 26 draft. They also have locked up the five players they selected in the fourth round or later.

Still without contracts are quarterback Chad Henne and defensive ends Phillip Merling and Kendall Langford.

Most teams haven't signed any draftees, while a few have signed one. The Chicago Bears have signed seven but still have five left, including their first-rounder.

Other than Long we still havent got any of our top 4!!!!!! Merling NEEDS to be in camp

We're still ahead of the rest of the league.

Now we just need to finish the rest off.

I think Merling needs to get 100% healthy. I know we need all the help we can get, but I think Merlings health is more important. If that means he misses his entire rookie season, so be it. His injury is a core injury, it needs to be completely healed.

I believe he will be in camp. The fact that the Dolphins are starting to sign these guys so earlier indicates that they all will be in on time. It is nice that our hardest pick left to sign is the guy taken #32 overall. Imagine trying to sign the #2 or #4 overall. Merling, Henne and Langford will all sign before TC, those guys taken early in the first probably won't.

Thanks...That's like saying, if it weren't for the Bills, Jets, and Pats we would have finished in first place!...

Bottom line is that Long is signed and none of our rookies are holdouts.

Im sure it is a priority for the FO to have these guys in camp. IMO they'll all be there. Nice to see things finally getting done this way...not the norm for this team.

Almost all draft picks signed? Must be that horrible FO I've been hearing about.
