Morris' agent, Mark Slough, said general manager Randy Mueller made it clear the team would be comfortable if Morris was the backup. Slough added, "That's the impression I was given  if Ricky isn't there, Sammy is the guy that would be the backup. That's what he's been told. We believe that to be the case."

Ethan Skolnick, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/167">Sun-Sentinel, reports Miami Dolphins special assistant Dom Capers is looking forward to his opportunity to just focus on being an assistant coach. Dolphins | Mularkey discusses offensive philosophy
Mon, 17 Apr 2006 20:13:25 -0700
Ethan Skolnick, of the <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/167">Sun-Sentinel, reports new Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey is very comfortable implanting the "Dolphins System," which was created by his predecessor Scott Linehan, now head coach of the Saint Louis Rams. Mularkey, who brings more of a physical style of offense to the Dolphins, describes the "System" as having "a scheme philosophy and a how you attack philosophy." "I think how we attack; obviously, I have different ways of doing it than Scott." Mularkey specifically said when referring to a vertical passing game, "It's got to be in your arsenal, but I don't know if you going in thinking that's the only way we're going to win a game is we're throwing the ball downfield."

*** Please feel free to add any new newsworthy Dolphins Info to this thread throughout the day. If you find something, please be kind and also include a link. thanks.

I sure hope Mularky doesn't get too conservative. No matter who the qb and wr were, it was a pleasure to see us at least attempt to go downfield aggressively last year, and now with DC, it really would put defenses on their heels. Conservative Wannyball, even when effective, is boring to watch.

i remember watchin a bills game one time and seeing mularkey run like 1st down 2nd down and then throw on third like every single time they had the ball but whatever i think he'll do a good job if pep is ready for the first game i wouldnt be suprised if our first play of the season was a play action bomb to chambers. that would throw off pitts corners and palamalou so bad we'd probably go on the board first play

oh no. Not like Wanny. Run 1st down, run 2nd down, Scramble around like crazy on third and long and just throw it.

I think if we're gonna see some different offense it could be anything but conservative. Mularkey was never known as a conservative guy. Plus Linehan's offense was far from conservative.
It's something hard to predict, cause we don't know HOW MUCH of his input will be on this "dolphins offense", though I'm with a good feeling regarding this..If we can mix the upper aspects from our current offense (the vertical passing) with Mularkey's creativeness we could have some lethal offense
