I seen that on kffl.com ......I think we will sign Peterson today because he should be our main target before we let him slip away and sign elsewhere....I think we are fine right now without Ty Law.....We should sign Lance Schulters back, so we can get Tye Hill or Jimmy Williams for #16.

By the way are there any other good corners and safeties available other then Ty Law??? I know Charles Woodson is there but anyone else worth a look at???

I would've rather we get Ty Law because there's not really many top-flight corners out there and we have solid corners but no playmakers. Safeties, there's Tank Williams.

would u consider Andre Dyson, Tyrone Poole????

arrington/peterson....especially since we just picked up another CB (Will Allen). Law is too pricey and will be declining in the coming few years. It'd be best to try to either draft a CB that is younger and cheaper or...like we just did...sign some experienced guys relatively young (27 in the most recent case) that have proven themselves and still have upside to boot at a cheaper price then Law. If we got Law,....for what he is asking....we wouldn't have gotten all the other FA's we've picked up so far let alone Culpepper too. I'd skip out on Law and his pricetag and worry about upgrading as many positions as possible, as we have been.

Ty law is was too expensive we already got new solid dbs hill, will allen, goodman. Our draft pick should finish off the issues on the backfield of the defense. Julian Peterson should be our next move cause then we'll have strong linbackers Channing Crowder, Zach Thomas and Julian Peterson they'll probably get close to gettin triple digits in their tackles.

They both have combined to play 11 games the past season. NE is weak at CB yet still dropped Poole, so that tells you something and BB is not stupid. I think a lot of Poole's successes came from the fact that people didn't want to throw to Ty Law and the ratio of Ints:passes thrown to increased for Poole. Dyson had a good year in Tennessee but not in Seattle, where the pass defense was sketchy despite a good DL. It's good that we have solid CB's instead of Reggie "oh, I'm sorry, Mr. WR, please continue on" Howard but I'd still like to see us add a playmaker in the corner spot.

I'd like Ty Law, but he's gonna command the bucks. I think we're DONE with CB. If we do get another I think it'll be thru the draft. We've got:

the Will Brothers: Will Poole, Will Allen, Travis Daniels, R. Hill, & a few scrubs.

ty law is old, slow and expensive.

we are trying to bring speed and youth to our D.

Law

Law is too old and expensive.

Allen was a better deal.

My hope for the rest of the FA period we pick up the following:

Lavar arrington/ julian peterson (one big signing, either one is an upgrade)
sam adams DT
Stephen Neal OG Pats

Then try to get williams/ko simpson in the 1st and Demetrius williams in the 3rd WR

That would be my own hope

I'm pretty sure Allen's signing was the alternate for Law. Law is a better CB right now, but Allen is younger and has starting experience. He's probably a wash with us losing Madison... I don't see Schulters back unless he'll sign real cheap...We have Hill, Tillman, Bell right now that have starting experience at S. We have the draft coming and if he gets a J. Williams he's a guy that can play both S and CB...Daniels could end up at FS if he drafts a pure CB, like Youbouty, who should be available to us as well.

With the FA signings of Allen, Hill, and Goodman, I don't see us also going after Law. But, I could definitely see us drafting a CB with our first or third round pick. IMO, that's good. I don't want Law. He's good, but he's too expensive and he's getting long in the tooth.
